    I really wanted to understand all that is spoken in this video ... but my English is so basic. I hear this videos everyday, but my english don’t had help me.. I like this sermons cause it don’t have some emotion, just faith, it’s biblical and not it’s a modern gospel like we see in much places. I believe that I will learn English fluently and I will understand all that is spoken. God will help me with my English .

    I am seeking the truth each day as l don't know my friends from different Christian background are whether they are Lukewarm and not serious about the word of God or complacent as a member of their church. Most of the time I spent on reading and studying to understand the Word of God,prayfully and thoughtfully meditating on the scriptures. Now on line,I find that pastors have been explaining with varying degrees of difference. As a result,I couldn't trust fully what has been taught by pastors after joining several churches and denominations.Now I am listening to you. For a person who pleases the Lord, God gives knowledge, wisdom and joy.
    Where can a sheep listen to a good shepherd such as I who lives in a village located in the island of Borneo? Do you know he who lives here has a life totally different from the lifestyle in your country? I am trying to feed myself from the Bible. So many types of grass has to be tasted on line for a hungry sheep.

    I don't believe in friendship evangelism, tried it, doesn't work. My take is - if a sinner doesn't want to talk about God, the Gospel of Jesus, sin and hell etc., then they are not ready, I just sow seeds where possible and politely back off and leave them alone. I don't fraternise with sinners and wait for opportunities to share the gospel. If unsaved acquaintances or even unsaved family come into my home, I look for way to talk about God, if they get offended or irritated then that's unfortunate. Jesus never told us to: join a club to win sinners, go to the local bar, play soccer with them, invite them home for dinner, no, he said "Go, and preach the gospel." (Mark 16:15)

      We certainly want to learn evangelism from the Lord Jesus Himself.
      “And as Jesus reclined at table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and were reclining with Jesus and his disciples. And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" But when he heard it, he said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.' For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."” Matthew‬ ‭9:10-13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

    Hey Tim, I have been blessed by your preaching and I praise God for you.
    I have a question for you, you often bring up the widow with 2 coins like in this sermon. I have and I am sure you have heard Macarthur’s view on it. That Jesus was sadden that a fakse religious system would take the last of what the widow had and then announced judgment on Israel directly afterwards. Also there is the chapter break but in the original there isn’t. I would like to hear you view on this as it seems clear to me that this verse gets twisted and is one of the most misunderstood passages in the Bible

    • @prudenceseales735
      @prudenceseales735 3 роки тому

      I would like to hear his view on this too, Heidi Baker has been found to be guilty of this very thing - the rich stealing from the poor and ultimately taking this verse out of context to her own advantage!

    Where is the fine line? Asceticism will take over , you will end up like Francis Chan or Saint Francis , or are all called to be such as my brother, Pastor Sam Pitrone who has left all comforts here to serve others in the Philippines, or are we like Paul Washer who first served others in Peru for 12 years then comes back here and becomes an itinerary pastor? Are we all different parts of the body to do different parts of the duties? I mean if we all gave everything away and left to serve somewhere else, who would be left to support those who are abroad?

    • @CreativelyAligned
      @CreativelyAligned 4 роки тому

      God is patient and in Revelations, there are those who cried out the same. However, if you read Revelations (I can’t recall the chapter, perhaps somewhere around chapter 6?) but I recall (perhaps it was Jesus.. forgive me if my memory doesn’t serve me well in the moment please verify this for yourself), that basically implies the time hasn’t come for this (“God just blast Satan away for good”) because there are those who are still being called to Christ for salvation’s sake. I’ll likely edit this comment later to give more evidence of this from scripture. Thanks!

      @HeidiMarie is this the passage you’re thinking of? If so it’s a beautiful passage of God’s patience with us.
      “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,”
      ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:9-11‬ ‭ESV‬‬
