2 things: 1) I thought you would save the best for last... but you didn't. And the best is Jack Tatum laying out Sammy White in the Super Bowl, followed by Tatum knocking out Riley Odoms(sp). Hands down the two most brutal hits ever. 2) Showing the hit on Reggie Bush is good, but you gotta show the after effects... priceless. Dudes insides were turned to jelly, kept trying to stand up but couldn't.

An Australian daytime TV host had 2 NFL players on the show. Trying to put the NFL down and make Australian football appear tough, they asked "How do you feel having to wear all that protection". They were shut up when the reply came back, "We don't think of it as protection, we think of it as a weapon".
I saw comments of "love when Brady gets hit and smashed" I saw the play live, it was a huge hit and he just got up and set the offense for the next play.

I honestly feel bad for some of the guys getting hit 50% of them probably got injured on that play.
not as likely as you think. the years i played footbal we had hits like that all the time especially on kick return. Guy onlky got hurt a few times and often the only injuries from hits were concussions, not that that doesnt still suck.

It's generally not the hard hits that seriously injure NFL and college players it's low shots to the knees, non contact injuries, and getting rolled up on that are the worst things that happen. Although the helmet to helmet hits do result in concussions very often

When I first started playing football. Around eight. I remember watching this old highlight thing on tv. I saw this player for the raiders. It's was from before I was born. It was this raider just lighting people up. You could feel the hits watching them. I ask my dad who was that man. He said jack Tatum. I said I want to play like that. For ten years playing football. I always tried to be like tatum. Lighting people up.
