      Always felt Martin spoke for speaking' sake. Never really brought much to the table. When with Matt would break into the conversation and cloud the issue.

    If God knew everything that would happen, wouldn't that mean he set Eve up just so he could cast humanity out then offer "protection" from his punishment? Sounds like mafia tactics lol

    Oh my God. Altruism??? There is neither too much altruism nor does evolution account for ANY of it. People doing good has nothing to do with evolution. And God has nothing to do with altruism.
    That is saying that we are literally inside gods body, but somehow god being the universe makes us do more good than if the universe was not god. That's EXACTLY like saying that the cells in our body do good just because they are in our body.
    Altruism benefits us. That's it. No god, no purpose, no anything more than it benefits us.

    If the god of the bible had been portrayed as a king instead of a God , he would be remembered as the most evil, mass murdering, tyrannical dictator of all time! Christians give the bible god a free pass because, they say, he is god the creator. I don't see the difference whether man or god. If his actions were evil or immoral, as the bible states, then he'd be just as guilty of being evil as any human committing the same deeds.

      Matt needs a production team so he can come off the hook completely and leave the rest of the cast behind. He is on another level and they have different goals or at least they should. Matt is better at collecting viewers and slamming "asshats ", the rest are "good" at being nice, BORING!

    Again and again I discover that theists simply can't think straight and it is that what makes them hold preposterous beliefs. Daniel from Auburn Hills is an excellent example of this. He is blabbering on and on, and only displays the utter lack of thought that has gone into his nonsensical religious bullshit. It is appalling.

    I went to my local public swimming baths recently and being a bit nervous I went in at the shallow end. As I splashed around, getting used to the feel of the water, I started to think there must be a deeper region that I had still not explored. Why did that happen ? There must be a reason.
    And we call that God.

    • @brucebaker810
      @brucebaker810 4 роки тому +1

      And if there can be water that's a little deep...and water that can be deeper...that it must be possible for there to be water of infinite depth. Or maybe maximal depth.
      And we call that -bog- -glob- God.

    even if there was a possibility of creating a simulation you have no idea what sort of universe the creators of that simulation is like... you're basing the idea that a civilization will create a simulation on the idea that there are so many civilizations in the universe... but that's not the universe the creators live in...
    the creators might live in a universe with only one civilization, in which case, there's no "huge number of civilizations" that one of which will likely create a civilization, so there's far less chance they would...
    you have nothing to base any probabilities on.

      The people who wrote the new testament account read in the old testament that the the messiah would be stabbed in the side and wrote their story to correspond with that.
      Thats how fan fiction works. I could write a story about Spiderman and write that he lives in new york, and thats consistent with the canon of Spiderman. That doesnt make spiderman real. Keeping fiction internally consistent doesnt mean squat.
