Hi Dane, thanks for the video, great insights into the new deisgns changes coming through, would be great to hear your thoughts on the hull characteristics and why you design them the way you do, it would also be great to hear about the different seating console options available. Are you looking at any changes to the sub 5m range? seems this segment has picked up since the introduction of the 1450.
Hi Andrew, Thanks for your comment, I just got a video up talking about some hull differences, it is a bit of a listen though haha. I will do something with interior options we have done in the future, that's a good idea. we are always tweaking and customizing interior options though so nothing is set in stone and everything is up for improvements. We aren't really looking to do much with our sub 5m range, we try to keep them pretty simple as they are mostly a fair weather boat, we focus on a lot of interior space and great stability at rest with a nice high side, past that if the build gets too complicated it quickly ends up costing as much to build as a 5.5m boat, especially as everything we do is one at a time, if we had the scale of the 1450 to build them on we could probably put a bit more in it design wise, having said that the 1450's are still pretty expensive for what they are. I am thinking about a budget under 6m hardtop based on our smaller boats if the market slows down but otherwise the models are pretty sorted going forward now (baring a few minor tweaks there is always room for)
We are only building them for our boats so it isn't really something I planned to push, then I don't have to answer a whole bunch of enquiries about building them for other boats. That said though if you are interested in seeing a bit more about them I can do a video talking through features and why I designed them the way I did.
@@marcoboats Hi, many thanks for your reply. Yes I think your trailer designs are as important as your boat designs, they are both awesome . I'm currently trying to build a boat and trailer and have got so much inspiration from your work . Thank you David in the UK.
I like that you guys think about corrosion under the floor. Keeping salt water out of areas where it can sit is so important . 👌
