Sometimes the intellectuals speak as if it’s the only way to connect with our Saviour. In fact, I think the men who don’t attend university are neglected. Love always in the Hearts of Jesus & Mary
Educated and uneducated have their own unique way of expressing the faith. All the Apostles were 'uneducated' except for Matthew. I look to them, specifically the Apostles who aren't spoken about often eg Philip and Bartholomew. I have also learned a lot about the faith from 'educated' Catholic clergy, apologists and theologians.
My 20 year old son has no place in our parish and it makes him (and me) sad. He can't be in youth group because he graduated high school. He can't be in the young adult group because he isn't 21 and they drink alcohol. And, the reason I'm posting this as a response to you, he isn't in college so has no access to a Newman Center. He used to be a EMOHC and usher pre-Covid but now that is limited to only a few. My husband has convinced him that Knights are only for those ages 40 and over.
@@jenniferwagner580 Your son could start a group for like-,minded young adults in his parish. Those who aren't into drinking etc. In my own parish, 2019m a young adult 23yo started a group to meet fortnightly to discuss the "Jewish roots of the Faith". He's the one who introduced me to Dr Brant Pitre books. For the first month it was just 4 of us. Funny how the interviewer interrupts @0:28 yes he is listening but to show how smart he is. He does this over n over again. To give a chance to explain what the monk is saying is the reason why he is there, in the first place. Let them talk.
There are no "proofs" as such because belief requires faith which is a gift from God which you can ask for - except perhaps nature. Ecosystem complexity is amazing and cannot be explained by chance or unintended processes. The principle of intelligent design is that "Wherever complex design exists, there must have been a designer; nature is complex; therefore nature must have had an intelligent designer." You should read St. Thomas Aquinas 5 Proofs of God - intelligent design is one of these.
I support the argument of intelligent design mentioned above, especially since I’m studying biology. I recommend this talk from a converted jew (you can find easily his testimony on UA-cam, he’s one of the top scientists in the world) : ua-cam.com/video/zU7Lww-sBPg/v-deo.html There’s also Stephen Meyer if you want to search more about this. Other big things that confirmed my faith (because Jesus doesn’t ask us to believe without any reason : “If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true. » John 5:31) were : -Eucharistic miracles and the scientific analysis of it with like blood type AB+ each time, same muscle too (left ventricule, which pumps the blood in the whole body, it has recognizable fibers), it is described as living blood since it contains white blood cells and they can tell the person underwent violent trauma since those white blood cells went through the fibers of the muscle, etc... -Marian apparitions, and, scientifically speaking, especially our Lady of Guadalupe one that have been studied by many non catholic scientists and has crazy characteristics www.thescottsmithblog.com/2018/12/all-amazing-things-about-our-lady-of.html?m=1 -Shroud of Turin -The cosmological argument And there’s many more but I gtg soon ahah, I just want to say I was so far from believing in a God, even less a personal One, 3 years ago. I’m truly like Saint Thomas that only believes what he sees (idk how the phrase is turned in English tho as I’m French) and some day, at 18yo after years of deep researches about freemasonry and occult stuff, trying to understand why there were such evil possible (like human baby sacrifice) and that very few knows, I asked, after watching a long testimony from a channel called truthmefree: « God if you exist reveal yourself to me », then went to sleep, had sleep paralysis (you shouldn’t have that dw, it’s because of my occult activities and I’ll say how to end them anyway) for like a week and I couldn’t sleep anymore so I looked up on a Christian forum how to end these thing and they replied repent and give your life to Jesus, which I did, poorly, as I could back then, and I felt instantly grace falling upon me, I was dead inside and I felt it as I felt life coming back in me and I cried all the tears of my body without control. It’s very summarized I could explain better but all that to say I wouldn’t believe a « proof of God » without experiencing his presence and we find that in prayer if we seek Him with a sincere heart. « Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. » (Matthew 7:7) Tho: “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29) « I am the way and the truth and the life. » (John 14:6) I assure you He is, and He loves you. Glory be to God and Mary be with you !
@@ServolusMariae I am not really interested in empirical arguments, as they are a lot of work to falsify or verify. But I have actually studied the cosmological argument. My conclusion was: that an infinite causal chain without a first cause is inconceivable. However, from this fact does not follow the existence of god- there could just be some primordial matter- which would be the first cause without a cause.
@@gerhardsrensen6815 I don´t buy into the first premise “Wherever complex design exists, there must have been a design.” Could you explain this further? Additionally, from your argument there only follows the existence of a designer. But a designer is not necessarily the Christian god or any god at all. Although, I am not quite sure how you define god.
Nice beard, but heretic. His reply to the atheist dude is so heretical ... and uncharitable to tell an atheist. What he needed is to hear that denial of God is anathema and since God can be known from the use of reason alone, they have no excuse: vatican council 1. If anyone says that the one, true God, our creator and lord, cannot be known with certainty from the things that have been made, by the natural light of human reason: let him be anathema. Therefore both the beard monk and the atheist are alike, excusing the denial of God on the basis of "i have doubts" but that doubt is not allowed for either of them because the use of reason alone points to God and to believe in God is a truth of the faith about which even a doubt is heresy since it´s been revealed by reason and by revelation. Also beard man here is denying the true absolute need of the faith in the Redeemer and the church for salvation, by reducing the absolute requirements for salvation, to the requirements to meet the ordinary means of salvation, as if there were any others..... This is the material universal apostasy is made of. And logically leads to pachamama because from the beard heretic and Francis/Jp2 ' point of view, the pagans and atheists are doing nothing but explore the extraordinary means of salvation when they worship their pagan gods.... that´s why JP2 kissed Koran... extraordinary means of salvation, you get it? ...
