Great tips, there's is one situation I ran into Christmas Eve ,I work for the state of California a young lady had purchased an item from a app OfferUp she picked up the item from the individuals house and when she drove off she noticed that a red vehicle that was parked in the individual driveway was following her long story short she felt afraid and thought she was being followed to her house so she began to speed and hopes of attracting a patrol and it worked when I clocked her she was doing about 75 in a 60 zone she explained the situation, to my knowledge I did recall a red vehicle letting back as soon as I began to initiate a traffic stop she was relieved to see me she managed to get a good vehicle description and a plate, please everyone out there be safe and vigilant✌

Exactly! My Mom was a probation officer and she told me that shady people have no shame. One time in the 80's a dude stood up and peed on her. Not sure if it was house visit or at work but my takeaway was can you imagine? Gross!

I have a friend who is a corrections officer. He gave me a couple spare handcuff keys that police use, my wife keeps one tucked into a secret pocket in the tongue of her shoe. Just in case some Buffalo Bill stuff goes down.

But it may be the 51 year old in me, but I have to agree with your mom and dad, DON'T go alone to pick up the toys, even with a pocket knife and mace take a friend, or family member. Laura, go to a local gun or ammo store and ask for a Kimber Hotshot. It's a little pistol that is preloaded with 2 fat shots of pepper gel. The Hotshot looks like a little red water pistol. It even used gunpowder to priject the gel. It's like a fast jet of peppergel they are so cool. I bought my Mom a few of them. They are $50.
Its classified as pepper spray but it looks like a pistol and sounds and functions similiar to one as far as how you hold it and it makes a loud bang when its shoots that gel.

I'd recommend a better knife. Swiss army knives aren't great for personal protection.

I like your battle Eeyore. I'm surprised you didn't get that white elephant at the antique shop you went to but I contacted them their price is pretty steep. I've been doing a lot of OfferUp shopping for furniture. I just got me a curio for some of my more delicate toys. I wish my toy room was finished but I've had to put Remodeling and Landscaping ahead SOB SOB priorities.

You probably won't read this, but in my study, and training the capsaicin in the pepper spray isn't as strong as mace. Also, if you want a knife for protection, make it a single blade. But unless you have knife fight training, you are more likely to cut yourself than hurt your attacker. They make a spike that is more effective, plus they can break a car window in an emergency.

If you're a fan of King Kong I have a fan film on my channel which was made using action figures. It's just half an hour long and is a homage to the 1933, 1976 & 2005 versions. The figure collection you've built is amazing and I'd be interested to know if you have any King Kong merchandise.

Nice find the King Kong is cool, I am so glad I live in TN we are a gun friendly state we can carry a fire arm open or concealed and I would live no where else in the world where I could not arm myself when need be for my own safety, For me safety is always a must now days, If your in Canada I guess you guys kind of restricted on what you can have huh, I will give you a gun if you need one :-> Any ways stay safe out there toy hunting.
Please get a different knife one with a locking blade if you have to use the old one there's a very high chance it will fold and cut u take a self defense class

Extra layer of safety on the text tip: after texting the fam member, call them and say “I’ll call after to let you know. I buy and sell on mercari now but in past got a few things on Craigslist. No problems except finding a tenant. She was a human roach. Other one I found is the best woman I’ve ever met.

May l make a suggestion? Don't carry a pocket knife from the Swiss army . Go to to the dollar store and get a screwdiver, with a non replaceable tip and good sized handle . Excellent for defense and the cops can't bust you for carrying a screwdriver. Ram a screwdriver into someone's torso and they'll know it.
I have 2 daughters and 3 sisters in Zimbabwe and they all carry one for defense.

Blimey what a thoughtful and sensible video Laura. I’m from the UK and after thinking about it, buying goods through private classified ads like in newspapers or platforms such as Facebook, eBay, Shpock, Gumtree and Vinted amongst others, if sellers are local to us we still arrange to visit face to face and don’t really think about if these people could be dangerous. Primarily because depending on the items being sold we are more concerned with the condition of the item and not wanting to be ripped off. Weapons such as knives even those on a Swiss army type tool or items like mace or pepper spray are illegal here, only police are allowed to carry them which has a two fold effect, it is less likely we will be attacked with such a weapon although knife crime is on the increase in the Uk and means someone who is defending themselves cannot themselves get charged with injuring an attacker which would happen here if we did have weapons, we do not have the right to bear arms in the UK, we have to call the police in such situations and hope that when they turn up several hours later, if at all that we are still around to tell the tale. In saying this, in most cases of private sales today we won’t do it face to face, we will mail items to each other or to a PO Box location for collection. The more frequent use of apps like cash app, Apple Pay, PayPal etc in most cases mean you have some level of buying protection. Regardless thank you for the tips.

There were quite a few shootings in my neighborhood of people getting robbed trying to buy cellphones on craigslist.
If you ever do have to stab a raging psycho you gotta say "getcha ya getchya stab ya stab ya" maybe it will confuse the would be killer and they'll stop and you can both have a laugh. Then you can finish poking holes in them.
A quick word about your keychain pepper spray, I know a thing or two about pepper spray and those do work but their performance is pretty limited. Despite what the packaging says they only spray about 3 feet away and usually only enough in the can for a 2-4 second spray and the propellant does weaken after time.

I once bought a laptop computer off a guy. I went to his house to pick it up and his house was full of tropical birds and he was working on a giant old painting of a woman of a woman in an old fashioned dress. It was just so creepy. I gave him the money and got the hell out of there.
I would get the Police to check that guy out. it might be nothing but he might have someone as prisoner in there. Checking won't do any harm.

In Finland crimes rates are so low and cases are very rare so on Finland its pretty safe to go others houses buying stuff. Even on The streets its pretty safe but middle night yeah save also but bigger risk
