I love your aesthetic so much and you had very good ideas of collages for your fron cover :) I like how fluid you are on making the planner/journal work for you. Great job! Also, taking the front pages out is ballsy but what an eye opener! Instead of having those pages take up space in you brain (and journal) you took it out and now your journal is "stress free". Love that :)
Thank you so much! It was definitely a bit nerve-wracking pulling those pages out but I'm so glad it worked out! It's exactly as you said, I didn't need them taking up space so now they're gone and it feels so good haha 😊
Click on the video because of the absolutely stunning cover decoration, it definetely inspired me. I got loads os cryptid stickers and was thinking on ways to decorate my cover and this is it!!
There is this paint, specifically for leather ( i know the hobo covers are pleather but i believe it should work just fine) and you could just pain the outside? some people have been suggesting dye but i don't think the cover would take to the dye at all.the name of the paint is angelus and a lot of people use it for leather. i would recommend watching some videos on it first though but i think it might help you get where you are going (which i think is a fantastic place, the mushrooms are fire, the black with just the postcard is totally my vibe and the collage is cool af)
always happy to see your process! i hope you’re able to settle on smth you’re happy with at some point. the stickers on your HON are gorgeous! you did an amazing job with the !
Absolutely loveeee the cabinets of curiosities cover 😍 looks stunning!! I’m so torn over what I want to do this year, bought a Kinbor weeks to try out, no hobonichi weeks/a6 as of yet but I’m still debating it! I picked up a filofax personal ranger for a bargain price from ebay so need to use that for something too!
For what it's worth, I thought you were onto something to incorporate the paper with the dinosaur head over the black cardstock. Or... did there happen to be.a piece of dark textured paper in the books you bought from Michael's if the black is boring? Another thing I've noticed is that I do better with the paper size being correct when I start by measuring the area where the paper will go in the plastic cover (like from stitching to stitching). You nailed the HON cover. It couldn't be more you.
@@bronteswannick i was thinking this too. You COULD take a sharpie to it, just enough to cover the showing blue bits. I know it sounds blasphemous. 😬 OR what I was also thinking while watching: How about cutting black fabric instead of cardstock/paper and fabric glue it carefully on to perfectly cover the blue?
The one here is a Midori one, just the regular A5. Some people say the Midori Codex covers fit better, but I've never had an issue with the regular A5 ones. If you feel yours is a little big, try blow drying it with hot hair when it's on your HON, it should soften and kind of mould to the book better! 😊

It's always fantastic to see your process, and collage is always a really fun medium to use!
Thank you so much 🥰

Thank you so so much Bucky 🥰 I'm super pleased with the stickers I chose, yay!
Absolutely beautiful! I really enjoyed seeing your whole process for your cover and it turned out amazing!
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🥰
If you don’t use the front pocked on the inside you can just flip it around so the back is the front and then you will have a pocket in the front
won't it be upside down?
I’m curious if you could find an old cover that you would like more.
I love that cat paper. I can only find it on sites where the whole site is in Japanese though 😢

Thank you so so much! And your system sounds great, what a great find with the Ranger!! 😊
Just FYI those weird little bundles of pages are signatures, commonly 8 or 16, depending on paper size and printing press.
Thanks for the info! 😊

Thanks for the suggestions! 😊 and thank you so much, I'm really pleased with it!!
Brontë, how about dying the blue side of the cover black? 🤔💭
Great minds… was about to comment the same thing! 😅
I did think about this!! But I have no idea how I would keep it accurate, because I do want to keep the grey inside 🤔

Ooh you may be on to something with the fabric!! Maybe I will raid my mum’s stash when I’m home for Christmas 😊
what clear cover do you use for your hon? i bought the hobonichi one and find it fits too large for my liking.

@@bronteswannickthank you! i’ll try shrinking it down but it is very large. i don’t image it’ll shrink down very well haha
Hi!! I just wanted to ask what you use to film your videos? And what kind of stand / tripod you use?
I just use my phone, I have an iPhone 14 max, and then I just have a pretty generic angle poise tripod from Amazon! 😊
