    Having just been diagnosed with a 69 mm large intrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm and am wondering what to expect if my consultant says I can opt for an EVAR procedure. For those that have had this procedure, how long did it take until you were fully recovered?

    but he didnt do the sealing at the tip of the graft. did he? How the graft seals in its place? that is also necessary to prevent endoleaks if I understand correctly. please tell me if I am missing something.

      They will usually use a biocompatible glue or use coils to 'block' the collateral vessels that are feeding your aneurysm sac. Usually its either lumbar arteries (most common) or possible an Inferior Mesenteric Artery backfeeding. Hope you got it handled since this is from months ago!

      @@KR-fb1xp No I haven't had it repaired yet, the surgent want to see me in a year. Which will be in October, to see if the leak is still there. I am going insane waiting waiting for them to get around to seeing me

    I.d.k what 2 do. I have abdominal aorta anuerism and aortoiliac atherosclerotic disease also. What is my options??

    • @KR-fb1xp
      @KR-fb1xp 3 роки тому +1

      Go see a vascular surgeon. They will give you various options, most common is either open surgical repair or endovascular. Younger patients usually get open repairs because they are more durable, it's a longer hospital stay but normally good long term. Older patients usually get endovascular. Sometimes its neither and you get medical management (blood thinners, things to manage the plaque in your arteries, and just general advice) without any other treatment. Your doctor will decide.

      Infact we encountered with five unknown mysteries there .
      1. Why did he reject the most safe advice of his own another cardiologist who recommended the stent grafting of Abdominal Aerotic Aneurysm then and Bypass a month later ?
      2. why did he recommend the most fatal double open surgeries of abdominal aortic aneurysm and Bypass together with lots of high promises without discussing any word of risk ??
      3.Why didn't he mention the fatal recommendations in his prescription???
      4. Why did you call me alone to tell me about only 20 percent risk when payment was already made, signatures and blood almost arranged just a few hours before Operations leaving a very little options to come out of the hospital at that critical moment ???
      5. On the day of operation his assistant told me that operation was successful, but just next morning he told that yet another operation Cholestomy will have to be done as my father had gangrene in the intestine. But in their own multiple test reports there was no trace of gangrene .
      During 22 days in the ventilation two other operations totalling 5 were done besides blood infection and septicemia.
      Sir, yes we had one fault that my innocent father trusted him more than the previous doctor who was guiding us in correct and safe directions.
      I think no surgeon on earth will recommend the double open surgeries of abdominal aortic aneurysm and Bypass without discussing its complications.
      Please respond, if possible.

    You will be shocked to know how the so called highest ranking cardiologist of India cheated my father . He did the double open surgeries of abdominal aortic aneurysm and bypass together without discussing the risk factors . The result was tragic death . My father had regarded him God, but he came to know on the death bed that the cardiologist is more insensibe than a butcher. For his wrong decisions he also did Cholestomy, tracheostomy and thoracentesis and then happened blood infection and sepsis . Is it not the blatant case of medical negligence ??
