Easily one of my favorite Goose songs...and I have many. Such beautiful lyrics, and the vocal harmonies at the end are haunting. I have downloaded 4 or 5 Orebolo shows and I keep going back to them over and over... Silver Rising Feel the rush Taste the blood Feel the fear behind your eyes All my dreams and All my reasons Swallowed up into the night Silver rising It’s almost time and I know That the wolf will be set free So run my love I’m not the man I was There’s a killer inside of me All that I am fades away The rage in my heart flows out thru my veins I’m losing my mind but all I can do Is empty my lungs to the sky Cause I know that I’ll always belong to the moon Silver glow On my own now and look I’ll wait on the other side One more night They won’t take me alive They’ll know who I was in my eyes All that I am fades away The rage in my heart flows out thru my veins I’m losing my mind but all I can do Is empty my lungs to the sky Cause I know that I’ll always belong to the moon
The lyrics have a very Robert Hunter-ish feel to them. There's a handful of songs that you try to imagine Jerry singing and this is a top my list. I have more Orebolo videos on my channel from the Levitt Pavilion show on 9/7/22 - enjoy they are here to to be shared with everyone.
@@deannovin Agreed Dean. Very Hunter-esque lyrics for sure. In fact, I get that vibe from quite a few Goose songs with the Orebolo treatment. These guys are magical with their acoustic renditions of Dead songs as well. Brokedown, New Speedway Boogie and Tennessee Jed come to mind. Dare I say Goose's version of Jack a Roe at Radio City was even better than the Deads versions from RCMH 42 years earlier. And this is coming from a 58 year old Deadhead with 140 shows under my belt.
who has ever translated the vocal jam at the end of the verses? All I can ever make out is ".... don't turn around or you'll see the beast that I've become" sung over "feel the rush taste the blood"
@@Charlie-yd4kl Hey thanks. I have more video I stopped uploading when I saw the podcast but maybe I just string it all together as one longer video. Wanted to isolate the few I made. Much easier and shorter clips.
Not only my favorite goose song- maybe my favorite song period.
Def thought Rick was playing stand up bass with one arm and acoustic with the other for a second at the beginning!
😆
My view. I really wanted to ask Jeff to move more to the middle.
This observation is gold. We now have legitimate proof that EorA was inspired by Rich(k)
That’s hilarious
Rick’s ambigoosetrious
One of my ultimate favs of theirs. ❤
Same here!

Silver Rising
Feel the rush
Taste the blood
Feel the fear behind your eyes
All my dreams and
All my reasons
Swallowed up into the night
Silver rising
It’s almost time and I know
That the wolf will be set free
So run my love
I’m not the man I was
There’s a killer inside of me
All that I am fades away
The rage in my heart flows out thru my veins
I’m losing my mind but all I can do
Is empty my lungs to the sky
Cause I know that I’ll always belong to the moon
Silver glow
On my own now and look
I’ll wait on the other side
One more night
They won’t take me alive
They’ll know who I was in my eyes
All that I am fades away
The rage in my heart flows out thru my veins
I’m losing my mind but all I can do
Is empty my lungs to the sky
Cause I know that I’ll always belong to the moon

Living in sweden and I just wish they could come to Europe soon. Will easy travel down to London, Paris or Rome to listen to them. Brilliant band
@Michael Wallden Europe tour this November if you hadn't heard yet
This rules
For a moment it looked like Rick was playing Guitar and bass at the same time - mind blown
Yeh I really wanted to ask Jeff to move to the middle!
I thought the same thing lol
Thank you. This is very nice.
It was so refreshing after just watching so much weird crap on UA-cam
