Aw, ya teased me with the pic of the Balcones...I think my fav and hunting for another. Pricey, but what a treatment of molasses! Also, all I seem to see locally is the Plantation Pineapple and no smoked anywhere...is that an annual offering, or is it gone? Cheers!

The smoked pineapple should be available however depending on where you are they may not have the rights to bring it in. I would ask your liquor store if they can special order it😀

What about Arizona's distilleries that are making some of the best sipping spirits in the world? In Kingman, AZ we have Desert Diamond Distillery, winning at the IWSC 2024 (97), 2023 (99), 2021 (97) (95), and 2024 SFWSC (95 - top scores were all 95 - seven distilleries, five from outside the US were mentioned in Forbes the other two were left out). And Elgin Distillery in Elgin, AZ. Both winning medals for 14-15 years. Top-Tier sipping rums, whiskeys and bourbons! Barrel pick/Barrel Select at Desert Diamond Distillery! So much to do! Come by and fill your barrel, or pick out a big one (225L) to OWN and we will bottle it for you to pick up. Yes, we can self-distribute.

Desert diamond does an agave rum if I am not mistaken. I had the chance to try a sip in vegas in a spot at the venetian. I remember enjoying it! A member of our rum club out of Arizona has talked about your rum before as well. Are you with them? We would love the opportunity to review a bottle! Our top 10 is only the tip 10 rums that we tried that year so it is always changing😃

@@JustDrinkingOfficial Yes, they do an agave rum! That is their customer favorite. The spot at the Venetian no longer carries them, since prices went up as far as I know, unless they have some left. I don't think any rum clubs have visited, although they are just off I-40 going to Vegas from Phoenix. It's too bad too, because their 6-year won a double gold from the NY World last fall and a double gold from the SFWorld this year and was in a 7-way tie for the best rum at the SFWSC. But alas, they were left out of the Forbes article so top-tier rums are still unknown in the United States. They still get visited from all over the World by people in the know. That's how they have lasted this long. And now they are selling barrels to Clubs...so come pick out your own barrel for your Club! I'll let them know about the possible review! Thanks!

I don't want rum with additives or unclear age statements.......Distilleries/Distributors should be clear and honest with their customers.

That is something we campaign really hard for from distillers. Being transparent and honest should be the standard!

That is a great rum! And I believe has made a top 10 appearance in another year. The top 10 here is not about the best rums ever, but rather the best new rums we tried over the last year that we think other people should try 😀 Rum is Fun and we think more people need to experience it😎 Our channel is mainly focused on bringing more people to the rum community and showing their is a lot more than big box rums out there. 😎

I've seen some interesting posts here and it's clear what people want. Clear and concise signage on labels. Here is why that will not work right now: Clear and concise signage doesn't tell you what you really want to know. It's misleading. Here is how: #1) "Distilled and bottled by x,y,z distillery". What does that mean? Exactly what it says. What was distilled? Was it something THE distillery fermented? Statistics say only 3 out of 10 distilled what THEY themselves actually fermented. That means 7 out of 10 PURCHASED their alcohol (yes, finished alcohol) and most likely redistilled it in their still so they could put that statement on their label. WHO did they purchase it from? Yes 70% of 3,000 craft distillers are buying bulk liquor. And the only people who have enough bulk liquor for 2,800 distilleries would be the massive mega manufacturers of liquor in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio...and that stuff is the stuff that burns. You get your hands on something someone fermented and distilled, it's ambrosia. Someone had to say it. Outloud. #2) (yes there is more!). Even if they fermented AND distilled their own liquor, when they proof it (getting it ready for bottling) the distillery can add 99% of purchased alcohol that came from outside their distillery. Now it still contains their liquor, so now it's blended, and I don't think they have to say that on the label. I could be wrong on this one, but who's going to know? No one will know. So TWO QUESTIONS WILL TELL YOU ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW: 1) What are you fermenting HERE? and 2) Do you blend with anything OUTSIDE this facility? You will now know all you need to know to find CRAFT (TRUE CRAFT) products, and not the pretend ones. Your welcome.
