- This is a historic year for the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary since the founding of our order.

When many priests these days abhor the idea of receiving communion on the tongue im so thankful for the reverence that we see at SJC. May this order spread to many more parishes and dioceces across the world. Please Lord use these priests and brothers in restoring the sacred and lead us towards right worship.
I love this parish. I streamed their High Mass the first 2 weekends of the government lockdowns. It was so beautiful and reverent. By the 3rd weekend I found that our Latin community - Immaculate Conception was open as normal. No lockdown or mandates of any kind. Mass as usual. I have been there ever since! Thank you Canons Regular for helping me find my way home.

Oh how we need this OASIS in this sinful , decadent world! Praise God for holy priests! So uplifting. I’ve been there once while visiting my spiritual director Father Ray Jasinski in Justice, Illinois. Father Ray’s birthday is tomorrow. He’s among the holy priests in heaven now. How I miss this saintly Shepherd. 🥲

Just saying ... this upload is VERY well done and really communicates the holy love in community these men are developing with the Lord. I have never known such a thing and consider them ALL to be a treasure ... especially so when on certain occasions my input rankles their feathers a bit ... because they come out smiling. Ha. As Opus Dei would say HOME RUN and batter up.

When your parish priesthood has holiness as a direct objective and works in that direction ... there may be hiccups in procedures, ideas, and implementation here and there... but so what !! The only thing thats truly important for any of us is going on. Remember Aladdin's Lamp story? Touch nothing ... until you get the lamp, then take what you want ... to use as needs be. But the lamp of Christ leads the way. God bless the canons of St. John Cantius. I noticed that their 2nd general chapter meeting will involve many days shared by the Jewish Festival of Tabernacles. Looking at that history and what is done there is very interesting. Personally, I don't believe in coincidence.
Easy. Get rid of the Novus Ordo Mass and go back to the Traditional Latin Mass.
