It varies, I’ve been without wifi for a couple days and banged out a whole 128 extremely useable samples in about 4 nights because I didn’t have much else going on. Sometimes if you want to get suuuper detailed, maybe some distraction included it can take a little less than half a month.
A full pack without changes will take me around two weeks. I'll normally work in sections. Write the song packs (Chords, Bass, Lead) for 10-20 ideas Create the drums for the full pack (I will usually make more than I need so I can pull the best parts) Make the drum loops Add any effects needed Render everything out. You don't need to make a huge pack like this. You could start with a drum pack for a style of music. I have also seen packs of just 100 kicks with rumbles for techno. It's totally up to you.
If I sold my sample pack on Wavetick for example, will this prevent me from selling the same pack on my own shop too? Is there an agreement I sign beforehand or not? Thanks
I would check to see what the agreement is. There would be no issue selling the pack on sites that you put together but when you upload it to another site like wavetick there can be exclusivity deals.
Nice run down. How many hours effort do you think it takes to create a sample pack based on the standard guidelines?

Hi Redback Samples if you sell on Wavetick, it is always non-exclusive, meaning you can go always sell on other sites too if you wish!
Can’t believe you never mentioned Loopmasters.
Surely they are the next biggest after splice
It kind of falls into the same category as Splice. You need a label to release on the platform.

Cheers matey!
