The name is a play on the words Dear Bride. I've been listening to them for several years and haven't found a song I didn't like yet. So many great bands coming out of Japan with more popping up every day.
Bridear is what got me into jrock and metal. While I'm not as big of a fan of their new stuff compared to the old, they still make kickass music. Their newest song, Eyes of Doubt is really good and they did a great cover of an Arch Enemy song
Bridear was one of the first bands along with Aldious that I first got into Jmetal back in 2014, I have their albums and EPs from 2013 to 2018 when Mitsuru and Misa were still with the band, The older music was much heavier and the newer stuff was going in the wrong direction a bit too poppy for my taste.
Hey, you found Bridear too. You are getting the hang of this ;-) Now we have to watch you react to Aldious (We are - ua-cam.com/video/sfkJT0rra-8/v-deo.html) Mary's Blood (Marionette - ua-cam.com/video/MLM2unV0kwU/v-deo.html) Hagane (WintrySky - ua-cam.com/video/FLxibhGlTGQ/v-deo.html) D_Drive (The last revenge - ua-cam.com/video/QtMumMQLWyE/v-deo.html) Doll$box (Take my chance - ua-cam.com/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/v-deo.html) - Watch these girls have even more fun as Gacharic Spin (Tamashii - ua-cam.com/video/Jt7-GGRa3nc/v-deo.html) Unlucky Morpheus Or - at your own peril - Hanabie (We love sweets - ua-cam.com/video/G18yyvPCiTM/v-deo.html) Or you could go Korean: Rolling Quartz (Good NIght - ua-cam.com/video/6ZMwFjO2yvY/v-deo.html) Subscribed!
They do a few styles of music, some songs are real metal, some are heavy rock, some are a bit more upbeat, love them a lot, they just released a new MV 1 day ago, BRIDEAR - Eyes of Doubt [Official music video] They changed a few members but Kimi on vocals and Haru on bass are original members, one of the problems with people shows in their MV commentary section, Kimi sings a lot in english now and westerners have a bit of problems with the pronunciation and they don't like the more pop inspired songs, in all, a very underrated band, good thing you help them a bit by reacting to them, thanks! Peace
Ok here is my Bridear take, as far as early female J Metal bands go I only prefer Mary’s Blood. After Misa, Mitsuru and Kai left they became more poppy in sound. Still release good songs like Brave New World Revisited but not the overwhelming number of killer songs as the old days. Light in the Dark, Thread of Light or Scream (live) will show you how thrash and heavy they were.

I like Bridear a lot. I just received the CD live in London. Amazing!
New album dropping June 28. It's a killer.

I can see the alure to pop for them, but I like the rock myself.
