    Also, the best way to prepare for college tennis your senior year of high school (in America) is to play the ITA summer circuits. Usually a lot of college players and upper level juniors compete in those tournaments and they’re all over the country throughout the entire summer.

    I have a question about your mechanics. You have a straight arm forehand, but your forehand isn't as biomechanically efficient as most straight arm FH pro players (Dimitrov, Dzhumar, Cilic, Nadal, Verdasco, Fed) because they tend to drive a bent elbow into the straight arm where you straighten your arm much earlier. My son used to do this but has since changed and has a bend on the unit turn then, straightens into contact. I do see a benefit of a premature straighten, being on the same plane a bit earlier but I was curious if you or any of your coaches have ever discussed this issue and if you have tried to bend more on the unit turn.

    As an amateur player I am often taught to open my body up early and go back quite far with my racket. I feel like you could also open up a bit more, especially when not playing at full intensity. Your wrist action is lovely but maybe bringing your racket back further more when in your power position could gain some speed and also control for you. Just my opinion on that😅🤔

    Hey! Are you currently using tourna grip? I recently switched from Wilson Pro to Tourna and I’ve noticed that the grip, in hot and humid weather, is fantastic. The only problem is that my fingers get all blistered up from intense practice. Have you ever experienced anything like this? Any solutions?

    • @thetennisdream812
      @thetennisdream812  4 роки тому

      Hey! Yeah I switched recently too because my grip was getting too wet with the Wilson. I have the same problem too. The tourna does give more blisters especially because the material is less comforting than the Wilson. But I recommend buying an anti sweat powder to help your hand stay dry and away from blisters

    • @NN-if1xu
      @NN-if1xu 4 роки тому

      The Tennis Dream Ah gotcha, I’ll definitely look into it then! It’s a super rough grip for sure, I guess you compromised comfort for reliability with the harsher grip. Thanks :D

    Hey bro, looking solid. What I would say to improve your game is to put your weight into your shots more. On the forehand side, I noticed that you are hitting most of your shots with your weight on your right leg which is sub optimal. You need to have better footwork in order to position yourself so that you can load the right leg with your weight and then transfer it to the left leg for contact. If you watch fed, nadal, djokovic etc they always are leaning forward and putting their body weight into the ball, which is where the power comes from. Bending your knees more on both backhand and forehand is something you need to incorporate into your shots as well. Getting low and driving up on the ball is what will take you to the next level. It might be something hard to get used to at first because you'll be hitting the ball harder than normal, but once you can learn to control it you will be in a much better place. On the backhand side I'd also say to raise your left elbow more in the preparation and hold your grip a little looser and you will be able to get more pop and turn it into a weapon. Load the left leg and transfer it to the right leg when making contact. Key takeaway is put your body weight into the ball and avoid leaning back when making contact. Always forward into the ball

      The Tennis Dream flex that elbow a bit more so you can have a better swing. You have good racket head speed, so with more elbow right there you will get a faster ball. 13 utr here coaching now so I think that’s a easy thing to see if you wanna get to the next level. You should be between 13.5 and 14 am I right?
