Are you in the UK? Personally if you are doing expeditions they do come in handy. If you’re doing lots of portages they can be a pain as the packraft can be quite cumbersome and heavy to maneuver. You need to make sure that you have everything you need for the day in your day pack if not you have to deflate. The question isn’t if the zip will fail, the question is when so I’ve been told by a experienced packraft instructor. They will degrade overtime and the sides of the zip will slowly leak. So in a nutshell. They have there advantages and they don’t. I’ve 3 rafts with them and none have failed yet. If you’re purchasing in the UK I have a discount code.
I'm about to finalise purchase of a Microraft. Would you recommend the ISS or not? I won't be doing very much proper whitewater 3+. Great Vids!
