The Princess of Wales told nine-year-old Thomas Lucas that she was "super impressed" with the boy's "brilliant" back flip as she attended 1st Battalion Welsh Guards for their St David's Day parade. Kate attended the event with her husband the Prince of Wales for the first time since he took over from the King as the regiment's Colonel. The royal couple later sat for an official photo with the Prince of Wales's company before they met families from the regiment as well as members of the 5th Royal Australian regiment who are in the UK helping to train the Ukrainian army. @@richierich7229 The wife of a King has been Queen Consort since the 1700s. It differentiates between a Queen as Monarch who reigns until she dies and the wife of a King who hands over all control to the next Heir to the Throne if her husband dies. For expediency the term quickly gets shortened to Queen but those who need to know realise this does not mean she is not a Queen Consort.
William and Catherine are just what the British need . They definitely act and look like the future King and Queen.

Catherine is also wearing the Queen Elizabeth’s leek broach that was a favorite of QE II because it was given to her by the Welsh military. Queen Elizabeth wore it when she visited Wales so it is nice to see Catherine doing that as well.

Thank God Prince William & Princess Catherine were not the ones who decided they must leave the Royal Family. What loss that would have been to GB, NO Ireland, & the Commonwealth. I worked for a time as a private nurse for terminally ill people. Friends and relatives respected what I was doing, but questioned how I could do such a hard thing. Well, the answer was: I get to care for some extremely fine and extraordinary people. I see the same in Kate's eyes -- it's not about her. It's clear she wants to engage, learn and encourage. I'll bet when the Princess of Wales gets home at the end of a long day, she says, gawd, my feet are sore. Tired, but inspired by the people she's chosen to serve.
