Hi, thank you for your inquiry. Apply the skim coat up to 4mm thick using a filling spatula or flat trowel. Two separate coats must be applied for a successful resurfacing (First layer as a primer to fill up all minor defects). Wait for 30 minutes before appling the second coat.

Hi, thank you for your inquiry. No, Skim coat must be applied on bare concrete substrate. It will loose its adhesion strength and will cause powdering if applied to primed or coated wall.

Buildrite Skim Coat is a thin plastering mortar to smoothen your plastered wall for finishing purposes. Required thickness of Buildrite Skim Coat is 1mm-3mm.

Pde po ba after skimcoat dna mag primer derecho na top coat
Hi. Thank you for your inquiry. It is still necessary to use primer over skim coat before applying a top coat. For interior walls, you can use Buildrite Tofil 803 primer and sealer in one. For exterior walls, you can use Buildrite Sapal RTU primer, sealer and waterproofing membrane in one.
It depends on the paint that you will apply. For indoor application we recommend to use Tofil 803 Primer and Sealer to prevent efflorescence and also gives better adhesion for your topcoat. For outdoor wall application you don't need to use primer if you use Sapal RTU for your wall because it serves as waterproofing membrane with priming and sealing properties.
