The Lain vs Leos legit made me losing my breath, even to the point my parents asking me what happened. It just so insane, and after is followed up by neck to neck plays by Mari and Sophia, Aster and Azura which equally hype. Azura is surprisingly really good, and her first opponent, Nari also a strong one but got overshadowed. Same goes to Tomo with Aster especially in the first round in the first 30 seconds where they giving each other the same amount of blow(it's legit reminded me of anime fight scene where both side opening punches are so strong, the environment around is destroyed but not them)
Yeah, you really can't waste time building a big stack vs puyo, you have to keep the pressure on them steadily and not let them be able to clean up properly.
You can see in Leos vs Lain that he started with the double tower strat he used against Alban - thinking that he had time to T-spin her- and pretty much got killed with Lain's stacked combos. The next match he speed Tetris'd just like Aster because he knows then only speed Tetris (and pump out T-spins as much as possible to block Lain's access to her combo stacks) can fight against Lain's bombshell combos. Lain's strat also changed to pushing out as much smaller combo as she can to combat the T-spins while stacking her bigger combos underneath. Man that was intense.
Obviously the highlight of the show is Leos Vs Lain, but a couple other memorable matches for me are Nari Vs Azura, the tactics in this match was super creative, and Lain Vs Sophia, it was super funny watching Lain hype Sophia up only to sweep in under a minute. Ren Vs Debi was also funny, watching Debi struggle was cute.
Can I just say that Ike is a top tier commentator and I would love to hear him be an MC for another tournament like this? All three were great of course, but Ike was just busting out creative metaphors left and right at the drop of a hat.
@@DEL8TE It's just not Suisei. Hololive has a new monster now called Marine Houshou. She has been practising GTR pattern offline and today we saw her do it on stream for the 1st time. Marine is on a different level compared to Lain Paterson. I dont know if anyone can beat her anymore
