- Even a first -time cruiser on Royal Caribbean can cruise like a VIP with The Key program. The Key program is like having a VIP pass to cruise and it includes priority, embarkation, specialty lunch on day, one, luggage valet for carry-ons, private times at sporting events on board, reserved seating in shows, the Voom Internet, package, and priority disembarking at the end of the cruise. It's a great value if you're planning to purchase the Voom internet package anyway. #royalcaribbean #vip #thekey #thekeyprogram #thekeypackage #cruiselikeavip #marineroftheseas #voom #spaceex #starlink #royalcaribbeanvip #cruiselikeavip #cruise #cruiseship
The benefits of The Key Program are fully explained in the video. I hope you enjoy. Note. Prices may vary. This was done in mid 2023
Nice program. Good lunch
Love your videos. Thanks
I appreciate that! ❤️
Wow ! I was not aware each person gets 1 device WiFi !! Thank you for explaining this !! This is a great deal
It’s gotten more expensive. Now it’s like $45/day on average per person.
Nice explanation of all the benefits
Thanks a lot
I really enjoy this delicious lunch and the luggage delivery to the room 😊
Yea it’s a nice perk to have
Thxs for the video. Im doing my first cruise in about 3 weeks and added the key. Do i have to make reservations for the show, or can i just show up being there is reserved seating for key members? Thxs.,
If you’re on Oasis Class you still need to reserve shows. If it’s Freedom or below class the shows don’t need reservations
@@RoyalCaribbeanCruiseChronicles thank you!
Thank you.. I'm planning to do it for icon of the seas because I heard it's crowded .Also, it will be best for the reserve show. Also, questions did u guys notice for reservation show? Does it say key reserve seat or vip?
For shows, there’s a Key section indicated by a sign
the seating is reserved but certainly not the best seats. If you want good seats better just to line up
I’m leaving out of Bayonne next month and we have the key, so do I still drop my luggage off soon as we pull in and advise them we have the key or do I have to log my luggage with me onto the ship?
You drop off all your checked bags only to the porters like usual. Any carry on bags you bring with you onboard and can drop them off at the Key Lunch where they check you in, give you your packet of info, and there they can take your carryon bags and deliver them right to your room. They put it inside the room which is nice.
Thanks for the info. Also, do you recommend once we board we go right to lunch or our muster station to get that over with then lunch?
@salvatorem4045 I would check in at muster station first.
Base cost on my ship Mar 25 2024 is now 44.99
It’s gone up.
For the key welcome lunch, is there a kids nenu available for children?
Good question. I’ve seen kids at this lunch often so I assume yes.
What about arriving at the terminal? Was the line fast?
It’s usually not bad but they take anyone ias they get there. The Key guests get a special line through check in but if still try to arrive by 10:30-to be first onboard lol.
I booked a cruise with the key. But now I'm worried. My cruise doesn't leave until 4pm. Does this mean they won't do the lunch? And yes, this is my first cruise, so I don't know about the check in process.
No worries I’d show up to the cruise port by 10:30 and they will check you in and let you on the ship by 11:00. Make sure you download the Royal App and complete the online check in which should open up about 45 days prior to the sail date.
Every one has to be on board at least 1 hour before departure. Boarding usually starts at 10 or 11 for that departure time
I thought a bit about you saying check in process. Check in opens 45 days before the cruise. It can be done on line or in the app. You can provide a credit card for on board purchases, your proof of citenship and select a boarding time. With the key we were sent a boarding time that was earlier than otherwise availble to us. If you wait until boarding day to complete check in at the port it will take time. If you have a travel agent, which we have found helpful, they can assist with check in
Does it say key/VIP seat for the shows?
Your Sea Pass card does identify you as having The Key. You get reserved seating in a special section at shows.
We didn't hear you say the Internet package
At 4:34 I did mention it includes Voom internet 😊
Is there a children's menu for lunch? There's no way my granddaughter would eat anything on that menu
Yes they have a children’s menu
Sounds like a big waste of money. We only needed one internet package that is sharable between everyone in the cabin and we don’t care about the rest. Private times are too early for us to benefit from.
Sounds fair. It’s not for everyone. Especially if you’re in a suite or Diamond Plus.
