vista wasn’t bad, it was just way ahead of its time, from people trying to cram a windows vista ultimate on a 256mb ram 1ghz pentium 3. i can confirm it was a very good os if it ran on proper hardware
I remember booting up our old pc and seeing win 7 logo on the screen and i thought it was always amazing how nice anc bright the logo looked. I miss the old style of stuff, it just felt more light and airy if you know what i mean.

Pior que ele nem tinha muito bug. Ele só exigia demais dos PCs da época, e mudou como as permissões e os drivers funcionavam. Aí quebrou mt coisa. O w7 resolveu isso sem fazer nada, o w7 é apenas um winVista com reskin.
A maioria dos bugs que o Vista "tinha" era culpa das fabricantes de hardware que não fizeram drivers novos. Tentaram adaptar código de driver velho do Windows XP e isso acabou gerando muitos problemas, principalmente incompatibilidades com impressoras. Outra parte do problema era gente tentando enfiar o Vista em máquinas com 256/512MB de RAM, sendo que o sistema pedia no mínimo 1GB. Na época (2007), 1GB já estava começando a deixar de ser o recomendado, mas as pessoas ficaram no comodismo com o Windows XP (aqui onde entra a culpa da Microsoft que levou 6 anos pra lançar o Vista, mas que da tolerar por causa do Longhorn). Enfim, o Vista foi em 2007 o que a AMD foi em 2017 pra indústria do hardware. Se não fosse o Vista, estaríamos acomodados com hardware ruim e passaríamos pelo mesmo problema com o 7. E se não fosse a AMD, estaríamos ainda com processadores quad-core como mainstream).

I love how Windows 11 says it is designed for all device, but 32 bit is no longer supported - which is a minus -, and also, most devices need something like a TPM 2.0 or what, which most devices are either hiding, or don't even support - which is another minus -. CPU requirement is very high, and PROOOBABLY most computers have some CPUs below the requirements, like mine.

EDIT : Also for 32-bit support, it is because almost everything today rely on 64-bit CPUs, so providing a 32-bit solution have an interest that lowers through the years. Moreover, a lot of companies stopped providing 32-bit softwares because it complexifies the code and the effort needed to maintain compatibility with both architectures. I know what l’m saying because I developed some softwares and supporting a thing for so few people is more like a non-sense now, and that's why I also stopped make software for 32-bit devices. By doing this, I noticed that some of my softwares have better performance, because they spent less time to compare what architecture the computer is and running the appropriate code. I want to say it honestly, but in 2022, 32-bit is more a thing that slow down the natural evolution of things than just a legacy technology that costs nothing to maintain.

All chromebooks now are required to have TPM 2.0, and all macbooks I am assuming have a custom apple security chip now. Most motherboards and laptops not built in 2010 support it
Do the right thing, choose the right thing. Have tried most of the windows os, from windows 2000 to win 11 which we have now. Windows vista with sp2 was not as bad as everyone thinks it is, on good hardware there was no problem at all, it also worked fine for gaming, yes I have tried it. Vista had the best visual style/theme of all. The worst operating system was actually Windows 8, terribly ugly flat visual style/theme and poor user-friendliness. Then came Win 8.1, which was a little better, but which still needed about 270 updates to get it up to date, even after that there were individual tasks that took a long time. Like disk cleaning, could take several hours.. Now, win 10 and 11 is good for most things. Except for all this useless bloatware/ spyware.

The Windows 8.x logo was designed to represent the Metro UI, 10 kept the logo because it fitted with minimalism, and 11 is just a Windows 10 with more bloat, extended kernel and a cheap Aero Glass

bro windows 11 is the opposite of graphic designers they have no graphic designers these days they just make the simplest things they can do and call it perfect while with windows 7 it was a wonderful enviroment with colors everywhere you looked and detailed shine and aero glass
IMO the one thing that would make windows 11 worth the upgrade would be having the ability to make it look like any other version of windows built into the Os so you don’t have to use extra apps and open your pc up to malware

2GB of RAM was what it wants and a intel core 2 duo or solo for the ultra killer graphics of Areo

if you had a core i3/i5 and maybe a core 2 duo, 4gb of ram, vista probably would have ran perfectly fine

I liked Windows Vista since I was little, I feel bad that it failed but had some cool features like visual style, user account control, etc.

Windows vista had the best trailer imo. 7’s trailer came in 2nd place. I don’t care much for all the elegance and fancy pantsery in the windows 11 trailer.

vista to 10 was good but 11 is so shitty with it's design. now don't get me wrong, they did a decent job with ui, but i just prefer how nice the older versions of windows looked.

Windows vista (SP2) is my favourite OS! Vista may have started off badly, but with the new service packs, it got so much better
