You can switch it down a octave. It’s the transpose option in main screen on the sequence section. It’s able to be used when using out board gear midi sync’d and also key groups can’t do it on drum groups but you can easily do that in tune option haven’t tried the internal vst. But yea it could go up and down a octave.
@@WeFullTime No worries man. I had this new gen mpc for about 2 years and I just found out about this feature almost 6 months ago. Just was turning knobs one day and stumbled across it on accident. How you liking that Zulu tape emulator?
@@WeFullTime that ssl 6 is a very versatile peace. I had mines sitting around as a paper weight for several months before I figured how to use it to its fullest potential. I have a pair of neve 542 that I use for tape saturation on bus b out then back into my interface so I can A/b my tape saturation from the regular mix on the mpc x. I kinda feel like I should have got the Zulu instead and save $1000. Peace nice beat. Keep up the good content.
I enjoyed watching this, always a dope vibe...I am just getting into song mode..lol...was challenging as heck for me...but lawd I was getting tired of just my 4 bar loop..😅🔥...Thank you for sharing 💯
@@retro6487 No not yet, but I have recorded some vocals on it. I'll probably head over to Tracklib and get a few samples. You literally can chop an entire song across the keyboard.
What happened to your Roland Fantom ? Do you like the Mpc key 61 better ? I have the Mpc One plus looking into getting a synth keyboard and I’m stuck in between the two (key 61 and the fantom) leaning towards the fantom tbh
I sold the fantom, playing live the fantom wins. It wasn’t an intuitive workflow for me. But for completing tracks and the sound, the MPC keys 61 is the winner. The Key 61 just checks all the boxes for me.
@@robmulli3723 Do you use your own drum kits on the 06? I got a MV-1 that uses Zenology and those Roland kicks just don't knock like they do on an MPC. The roland's definitely got better preset instruments though for instance with Pads. MPC has great pianos and Strings

@@jltbk5420 Love the Zulu, I use it with the SSL SIX on the Main Insert it adds that nice tape saturation I'm looking for.

Nice, do you think the plugins sound better using the KEY 61? I think so, the same plugins sound different on my LIVE II or using pads.
@@WeFullTime Definitely sound better on the key 61
