@noazucar519 Well I'm going by what it would cost when I lived around their. I use to pay $500 for a place on treasure island and it was way more spacious in 2007. You have to take a bus to SF but as long as theirs no traffic its 15 min. I had a walk in closet. When my mom lived in SF in her 20s she paid 499. So I'm just going what the space is worth. I bought my house in sf for 700k in 2017. THAT was too expensive. It's 7 bedroom 5 bath $7000 mortgage. Imagine how big a house I could have bought just for the space somewhere else back then. So I sold it and am still in SF but I still overpayed.

@@4damula sounds like you don’t own a home. An escrow company purpose is to review your credit and whether you can afford to buy a house because you won’t qualify for a loan if you have too much debt or don’t make enough. You have to have 20% down payment.
I barely can afford my mortgage but the escrow company showed me hoe to manage my income to debt ratio.
The people that can’t afford probably lost their job or changed jobs to lower paying. They could be suffering from the crippling inflation that Biden and democrats created. Most people that can’t afford a home are the same people that are like oh I can’t save for down payment so I’m going to get a 0% down payment well guess what that means it means you will be convinced by a shady home loan company to get a loan with variable interest rate for down payment to purchase the actual house mortgage loan. You see what I’m saying?

What would be the point of her having a car? She might as well risk it in the bus. Knowing our bus drivers shell get lucky and the driver will only let a few less fortunate on (not their fault just saying) she will just be thrown up on or something random. Crime is horrible in Oakland. I wish them the best. Some people need to learn the hard way. Vote for change. Vote progressives out of Office. As a Real Estate investor I welcome the lower rents. All this means is lower prices on purchasing commercial real Estate, but rent will go higher every year. Even a 1%, 5% increase is an increase. Before when there was more competition rents were harder to raise because of Turn over. Sacramento and the years of left wing party system has created these higher prices and a lower standard of living for many.
Republicans have no plans to increase housing at all, let alone housing that's affordable. Everywhere you look, they're fighting against higher density, which is the only way we get enough housing. Democrats are at least open to zoning changes and allowing ADUs; your guy called that "ghettoizing the suburbs". That and republicans are coming off as white supremacists and while that may work in Alabama, gonna be a pretty hard sell in a state where only 35% of the electorate is actually white, and most aren't supremacist.
