I don't get it. I parented my player to the moving platform, but the player still just falls off.

When I do it in vr it doesn't work, I use an XR Origin, it also doesn't work with a character controller either

Sorry for the late reply. If you did everything correct most likely is because the platform cannot get to the endPoint due to something beeing in the way. Try moving the endPoint position. If you need further help you can contact me on the discord server discord.gg/7wd9xMhD

One Question, how do you move your player? with rigibody or characterController?

It should work the same, just use the part of the script that makes the player a child of the platform. Don't forget to add the collider.

Check if you added a collider to the platform and that the player also has a collider, without further information I cannot guess what you are doing wrong. You can join the discord and share your code there if you still have problems.
