Hi Adelaide! I like your projects very much! Looking forward to your 25 days of Christmas stitching. I am attending the Jingle Ball. No classes but hope to dip in and out of rooms and maybe speed date! I did 12x12 last year. All new starts. This year, I am going to do 6 wips and 6 starts. It’s very exciting!!! 😂
Glad to see you finished the border on your Christmas advent. I’m still working on the border of the advent called Christmas Countdown. I bought my ticket for jingle ball, which will be my first year attending.
Hi Adelaide, I’ve just bought the pattern 324. I have only got to purchase 149 thread colours! I was surprised as how many colours I had in my collection! I’m currently working on la d da’s ABCD. I’m doing it on black Aida using Blanc. I’m stitching it with white paper on my lap and find this makes stitching on black easier.
You mentioned beading and poking yourself…I have been using a product called Tacky Bill. They used to be called Sticky Bob. It is basically a CD plastic case with sticky material on both inside parts. You put your beads on it and pick them up from there. They are sold on 123stitch. It’s almost December 1st. Anxious to watch you do your Christmas stitching. Happy Holidays.
Thanks so much! Next time I do an order from my cross-stitch shop I will find it and add it. That sounds very helpful! December is very close. It will be exciting and fun! Happy Stitching :)
I’m so impressed that you finished the calendar border in 3 days - it took me 13 days, though I have done the heading as well. I’m also debating doing the numbers in Nov to give me a better chance of keeping up each day in December.
Good on you for finishing the whole border and heading! I'm very impressed :) I need to do the heading. It'll be interesting to see how many stitches are in it. Yes I should do the numbers too, but I'm enjoying the gingerbread house at the moment and it's hard to go back lol. Happy Stitching :)
Thanks so much! It's lots of fun! I quite like changing projects but some people work on one for the 12hours to make some serious progress. Happy Stitching :)
@ Last year I did one project for 12 hours (Hawkrun Hollow Halloween)… this year I think I will continue working on my 12 Santa starts (but however many I finish between now and then, I’ll add back in with existing WIPs to keep the total at 12). ☺️
@@homemadeontheridge Hawkrun Hollow would be a fun project for the 12 hours. I'm so tempted to order that pattern from the States. It looks so good! You are doing so well with your Santa starts! Great job :)
Wow you sure do stitch fast. I am falling behind because of the Holidays coming up and I am hosting it this year. I figured out if I can do 215 stitches a day then I should be able to finish the rest of the border. I did finish the words of Merry Christmas. I just hope I can make before the 1st so we will see how it goes. I have never done 12 x 12 and if I did do it I think I would do WIP's and not new starts. Happy Stitching.
Thanks! Good luck with all your holiday prep! I'm very lucky we're going to my parents this year so that does leave me with a bit more stitchy time. I need to stitch the Merry Christmas. I'll be curious to find how many stitches that will be. 12x12 is fun. Some people work on one project for 12 hours instead of changing so they can make some good progress. Happy Stitching too :)
You're an enabler! LOL I went & bought 324 yesterday & put it all in thread stash to see what I need. Luckily I only need 33 colours and I'm going to do it on a 28 1x1, so I'll need to find that locally (since Canada Post is on strike). I'll be starting at the bottom, so I'll see when I overlap you.
Lol thanks! Only needing 33 colours is pretty good. Sounds like you'll almost have a full set soon. I hope Canada Post sorts itself out soon. Not a good time for the strike. Will 324 be your new year start? Happy Stitching :)
I just discovered your channel and love it! I hope we get to meet at the jingle ball but I am in Europe so we will see how that works out time wise… I love how your cat sits next to you towards the end of the video as if she wants to check that you are doing it right 😂
Thanks so much! That's so nice of you :) I popped over to your channel and it looks amazing! I can't wait to have a good watch. It would be lovely to meet at the Jingle Ball! Are you doing any classes? Lol our pets are definitely the ones in charge! Happy Stitching :)
I'm doing a daily advent and also that gingerbread house class. It's my first Jingle Ball so I'm not 100% sure what to expect. I've thought about 12x12 but didn't understand what it was when i first heard of it. If I do it, I will be team WIPs for sure.
That's so exciting! The Jingle Ball is really fun. There's the exclusive designer stalls, the meet and greets, the stitching rooms and classes. And even if nothing is on, there's also 8 hours of entertainment videos to watch and some of them are fantastic tutorials. I hope you have a great time :) The original 12x12 idea is by Kea Bee. Here is her video from 2 year ago ua-cam.com/video/hAXuELzh_C0/v-deo.html . She did update it last year to include stitching wips, new starts or just on one project. Happy Stitching :)
I loved that dragon fabric you dyed yourself! Gorgeous. And also those cute Halloween patterns. I hate to enable you, but have you ever seen Love Poppet’s designs?? She does SaLs and I did the summer one..in our winter. And I’m just starting the Christmas one. You’re welcome😂 I will be in bed by 9 pm on NYE.. not a fan!!
Thanks! I will have a look at Love Poppet's. Sounds intriguing! Because we have pets we have to stay up till midnight on NYE because the fireworks upset them. So I may as well stitch! Happy Stitching :)
I've recently discovered your channel and like the projects you are doing. An easy way to describe 12 in 12 is that 12am and 12pm are non-existent times. You can only have 12 noon or 12 midnight. This is just my own personal niggle you understand 😊. I don't think I'll be taking part. I'll be in bed by 10 o'clock at night. I've never used 27 count Linda but I might give that a go. I'm an Aida fan simply for the ease of holes.
Good to know! We have pets who hate the fireworks so we're staying up anyway so I might as well stitch :) I recommend the Linda cloth. It is lovely to stitch but I understand I always enjoy stitching on Aida. There's no indecision about where to put your needle! Happy Stitching :)

Oh my goodness so many plans!! I hope to see you at the Jingle Ball!
That fabric IS perfect for the Gingerbread House!!!
Thanks! It is, isn't it! I'm stitching it now and the white shows up so well. Happy Stitching :)
Sisu is looking great! 🤩 And I really like your other pattern choices, too. It's going to be fun to watch you in December 🤗

Sitting and stitching my Gingerbread House on Autumn Beach by Number 12 Stitch Co. while enjoying your flosstube channel
That's awesome! I've never seen Autumn Beach but it sounds lovely. The Gingerbread House has such pretty colours. Happy Stitching :)
@ it’s like a gingerbread colour, very beautiful
Wow…..so much to stitch…..so little time! Love seeing all your projects and your plans! I have a Siamese cat named Daisy.
Thanks so much! I know we all need more stitching time don't we! A Siamese cat sounds like lovely stitching companion. Happy Stitching :)

1st time doing the 12x12. Team new start!

I’m so excited to see you again daily in December and watch your progress on the calendar! I’m doing 12x12 as well-it’s such a fun challenge.
Thanks so much! 12x12 is heaps of fun. Are you going to be teamwip, new starts or work on one project for twelve hours?
