The journey from upstream to product

What does it mean to get from an upstream community project to an enterprise-supported product?
In the last 2 years, Daniel has had the pleasure of being a Red Hat Product Manager, responsible for getting upstream sie.ag/QrpJU to an enterprise-supported product called Red Hat Device Edge.
In this talk, he tells the story of this journey. What needs to be done, which obstacles and curveballs are thrown at you last minute before reaching general availability.

Daniel works as a Principal Product Manager at Red Hat. He considers himself a catalyst to bring together the necessary resources (people, technology, methods) to make projects and products a success. Daniel has more than 25 years of experience in IT. In the past years, Daniel has been focusing on hybrid cloud and container technologies in the edge computing space.
