I actually spent more time with my RWS decks in 2022 but a stand out deck I fell in love with has been the Tarot De La Nuit. Anna, Love hearing how you use your decks & experiments. RWS has depth for sure. Maybe 2023 I'll have more time to sit with my thoth deck.
Loved this. We don’t talk a lot about having too much knowledge when we read tarot cards, this is true. Sometimes it is good to keep it simple. And the fun of reading intuitively. When do we allow it to click on and when do we shut it off? I did not see the #tarotasoracle ! I am going to think on this. And give it a try. But I think I may have trouble turning off the tarot card knowledge. We will see! I appreciate how deeply you think about things and also how you try to keep your collection tight. I don’t have the Ritual Tarot but it looks very lush and complex. Thank you.
Hey Meadowlark mystic! I’ve made two Tarot as oracle videos, not very long ago. It will give you an idea on how it went for me. Definitely didn’t mind going back to reading as I always do ;) Have fun with it!
Very interesting, thank you! I know the tarot overwhelm, too, and I find it helps me to go back to the image and simply describe to myself what I SEE. Without adding kabbalah, astrology, alchemy or anything else. The Ritual Tarot looks wonderful. Oh dear, no depth year for me, the only depth I feel right now is the depth of my pocket which is far too shallow! But I'll have to dig reallllly deep to afford the Ritual Tarot! My personal stand out deck for 2022 was probably the Tarot of the Abyss. I had some mind blowing readings with it. For clients, I use RWS Centennial or Thoth (I trimmed them all and edged them in black) as well. They simply deliver clear answers.
Oh cool, we use the same decks for clients :) Those are the ones I use for face to face readings. Online I use anything I have in my collection. I understand about Ritual Tarot. The creator does have sales sometimes. Thank you!
Gahhh! I just love ya and your content so 🥰 haven’t been able to watch any videos since holidays but lemme tell ya… STOKED to catch up on your channel 🤗 thanks (as always) for being ‘you’ ❤
I too find it difficult to stop being in my head all the time. That tarot brain full of knowledge sometimes gets in the way. When I do readings online or at the store, I tend to go for decks like the standard rws, thoth or my own creations that feel like an old comfy blanket. For some reason when I use those, the ‘brain’ turns off.
Loved your tarot as oracle tag but haven't gotten around to it yet. I think one of my recent favs the William Blake deck would be a really good candidate for it and I think you might also dig it !
Hi Anna! I prefer rws when reading for others too...also there is a very small chance the querent may recall the images from a past life. A potential mind blowing experience ! Just saying..that happened to me when I first looked at the cards so it can happen! Love that you kept the witch card in Valenza's pocket oracle...thanks for sharing! I must find it and add it! Oh boy, you made a video on Graham Hancock! I'll be tuning in asap😎 Happy January 2023!😘😸
Ritual Tarot, Anna I’m glad you’re enjoying this deck you also said you used them on clients, did the readings take you longer to complete because the deck is so different . Hope you had a nice New Year’s Eve see ya next week✌🏻
Really enjoyed listening to you speak about your experiments and experiences with the tarot last year. And I love your comment re: Thoth vs RWS with the meaning being hidden. I think people forget that the Thoth is still the Golden Dawn system, just like the RWS. It just comes with all of the edge lord nonsense and drama of Crowley which I think intimidates people somewhat (he managed to trick people into thinking it was more complicated than it is!).
@@AstralLadyTarot Exactly! Like you were saying in your video, you can remove all of the layers of things that have been put over tarot...or you can have as many as you like/all of them. This is why I love Marseille, it stripped everything back, removed all of the esoteric baggage for me and just 'was'. You know? It felt very freeing.
@@AstralLadyTarot By the same token, am I trying to learn as much as I can about all of those other layers so that I have them in my back pocket for readings? Absolutely!
Hi Anna! I was thinking about my "stanout" decks of 22 and Ritual Tarot is for sure among them- love this deck! I even did my Weel of the Year 23 with it. Four others are: Tuatha de Danaan Tarot, Terra Volatile Tarot, Vieville by Artisan Tarot and Greenwood Tarot (I printed my own copy on MPC and love its energy). This year will be my no buy and depth year so I intend to work only with 12 decks and those standout ones are among them. Besides...you made me to buy my Hoi Polloy🥴😄! Those colours!!!! Love it!!!Incredible thing: I bought this deck on Ebay on 26th of December as my all in one: name day-Ewa, Christmas and birthday present and on Monday the 2nd of January I've had it already in my hands!!! I was sure it will take at least three weeks to be delivered here what is a standard period of time but... I can't put it away! So unexpectedly it made its way into my list of decks for 23. I am curious do you have a list of decks you intend to work with in 2023?
Those are all beautiful decks! I didn’t set a goal for what decks I wish to work with this year... I have many to choose from now and it’s going to take some curating 😁
Your mood is infectious in this video. So fun! Makes me want to finally think about doing this tag... Pagan Otherworlds would definitely be in it. 😉 And for the record, it never annoys me when you mention the Trionfi. Arent we supposed to forge on-going relationships with our decks...and why shouldnt that show up in our videos! 🧡🙂
Thanks Sorsha ♥️ It’s nice and helpful to look back on the year we’ve had. It made me realize it really was a special Tarot and oracle year! Would love to see your VR
Hi Kelly! I backed the cards with black contact paper and edged them with red marker which bled onto the fronts, but I like it because it looks like blood and therefore suits the deck. Still my favorite modification to this day!
I love when you mention the Trionfi, first because I love this deck too (have 4 colors variations) and second it shows what you really use but most importantly your consistency and integrity which I admire a lot! And thank you so much for recommending me to do Throwback challenge- it restored most of my mental peace and sense of deck overwhelm!! Now I realize that I have much more than I need and finally I am ready for no buy year 😁 (fingers crossed hahah, that Ritual tarot is calling me a little😂) Happy 2023!❤
Oooooh I can vouch for the Ritual Tarot haha. Whenever I did a depth year I did allow myself 4 new "essentials" ;) This way I did find most of my favorite decks, so it worked for its purpose! Happy new year!
So glad to see the variety of decks you used. I feel like I’m “cheating” on my RWS deck sometimes because of the relationships we’ve developed! 😂 I just got the Thoth deck this year and have been obsessed. I also have a few other decks that I just feel “in the mood for” and I dabble! I feel validated seeing this vid. ❤ The Ritual Deck and Morgan’s Deck are the ones I’ve added to my wishlist for 2023. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Anna, a great start to Saturday morning. The Ritual Tarot definitely had an impact on you, I think we all saw that one as being in your top decks 😉. I have started the year with five decks being gifted my way and have no idea how they will work. One of them is very hard to get hold of and I feel if I don't get the book to accompany it will never make sense. But the book is even harder to come by. My top deck was probably Morgan Greer. It packed a lot into its readings for clients and friends. Here's to the new year ahead in finding joy of new and comfort from old. Have a wonderful weekend 🙏💜🙏
Those are good things to live by! Morgan Greer is a classic for sure. Perhaps search the internet for the pdf of the hard to find book? There's more out there than we think sometimes. I have a lot of new decks to go through yet, we shall see how they work!
@@AstralLadyTarot I may be more linked to it than initially thought as it's a celtic based deck. And I have plenty of resources. Like your video about research from books, there is a bookshelf full of Gods, Goddesses and mythology in our home 😁. And intuition will most certainly play a part in getting a feel for the images. It's the Celtic Wisdom Tarot 💜
A very fun synopsis of your 2022 year in tarot, Anna! Thanks for all the reminders to play and have fun with our decks. So important, I feel. Adulting is far too heavy these days and we need not lay that onto our artistic and oracular outlets as well. I’m gonna try your suggestion of housing Thoth as an oracle. Love the artwork but haven’t found the time to study it’s system yet so why not, eh? 😻✨🪶🙏🏼
@@artistsandoracles Exactly, why not!? Ooof yes adulting these days is hard! But we make it through! Very important to put our overall well-being at the top of the list

Edge lord 😆 It's complicated, but also it's as "complicated" (doesn't that word have a negative feeling about it?) as we make it to be! Thanks Kelly
