deli reminds me of one of those rare teachers that you always are existed to go to their lessons because you actually learn something, like that teacher that everyone in the class loves and respects
I've been playing sims my whole life, and I already know how to do all this. Yet I'm still watching it 😂 Deli is so good at explaining it in a nice and simple way. Her voice is also really relaxing in this video lol
For those of us who have been playing forever, its hard to imagine how complicated this all must seem at first! This is a good video to send friends who haven't already played before!
Don't feel embarassed! It's a learning process :) It all comes down to practice and LOTS, LOTS of layouts googling ahahah EDIT: I've been playing since Sims 1, since around 16 years ago, and believe me, I still struggle sometimes with layouts myself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I love that your doing this! The community is expanding all the time but there isn’t many tutorials online of how to play or build. I’d love to see you do a run through like this off more complicated build for someone like me who’s been playing for years but cannot build very well. I’d love to be able have something I’ve build by following a tutorial like this xxx
This is so amazing how your doing tutorials for newer players, I'll be honest I don't need the tutorials but I still enjoy watching em and it's good that your helping other viewers
Same. Like I am not a builder I am more CAS the Buil simmer but I just love how understanding she is towards new players that will have 0 clue how Sims works
Don't forget to mention that some of that only works when you're in Sims 3 camera mode (like camera movement and rotating freely) 😉 Also another thing I found helpful is that (at least in Sims 4 camera mode) you can switch to bird's eye view by pressing T 😊
This is the perfect video for someone like me! I always want to build my sims a house but I somehow make the house too big or don't know what layout I want. I've always been curious how people can build houses so easily in sims and this video defiantly helps! hoping this video gets heaps of views so it can help others!
This is such a great tutorial for beginners. I wish it had been around when I started building! I’ve been building for 2 years now & I still learned some new tricks.
Thank you for making this video! It helped me so much. After I seen the first one that you made I actually bought the game, and it's on its way. I can't wait to build my first starter home! I'm visually impaired, and because of the way that you have done these two videos, it has really helped me to see very well exactly what I need to do.
I've been playing sims since I was a teen (I'm 34) and just learned something new!! I had no idea you could place windows by room 😅 Thanks for these basic sims videos, it's true you learn something new every day 😂.
I’ve been playing the sims for years but I still learnt some little tricks from these videos. I’m sure this would really help a new player, I find it so sweet how much detail you go into
Deli, thanks for this tutorial series. I'm really enjoying. I've been building houses virtually for years but it is good to see videos on the basics. I think a tutorial series will show people who always wanted to make a sims 4 home how to do that. Keep up the good work and you rock!
Thank you Deli for a great tutorial! I've been playing the sims for years, but I don't build, as I never can get the roofing or shape correct. I've just made this house alongside watching the video, and it actually came out perfect. First time I have ever built something without giving up!
Enjoyed this Video a lot!!!! I have been playing the Sims for years and I am absolutely Horrible at building Houses for my Sims..... I can create Sims but I have used houses in the gallery for them to live in..... Several Months ago my Computer Quit on me and I haven't been able to play the Game..... I finally have a Computer coming to me and should be delivered Tomorrow..... and one of the things I want to start doing for my Sims is building Homes..... Though most will be basic and Starters.... But this Video has helped me as far as ideas.... and I love that you do these for people....
I love that she's doing tutorials on how to play. I've been playing for years and even watching this I found a few things I didn't know you could do. It's also helpful for new summers. I actually have my 2 daughters 10 and 7 watch both videos shes made so far to teach them to play. My 10 year old is pretty good at playing building id hard for her. And the 7 year old always ends up dieing so that'll help
oh my lord, thank you so much! you gave me everything I needed! Your such a good teacher, I hate to admit it but I was a big NOOb at sims before I saw your video, thank you SO MUCH for your time and effort to help us!
You are a really good teacher, Deli. You go at a good pace and speak clearly and in language that is easy to follow along with. Good on ya for making this series!
Thank you! This was extremely helpful. I have just started playing sims 4 and was a bit confused while building my first house. This helped my a bunch and I’m really getting into sims 4 now! Thank you! 😊🤗
13:43 just fyi if you're looking for the category where mailboxes are it's in a really weird spot: go to objects by room > outdoor/patio furniture > click on the outdoor garbage, and that's where the garbages and mailboxes category is
Deli doing tutorials like this is inspired honestly there is so much that simmers on UA-cam take for granted that the rest of us know and it can be intimidating sometimes! I hope you do more of these!
I’m hoping for more of this! Super helpful for me because I feel like all of my houses turn out the same. And also great with the roofing tips and how to separate rooms in a clean way! Thank you 😍🥰
Definitely need more of these videos, going from basic and simple to more lavish and difficult builds to help the ones who just don't have a knack for building, like me, or beginners!
Honestly the best thing I got out of this video is holding alt to place things EXACTLYYYY where I want them! I always see you and other simmers do this but I never knew how
Even though I have played the sims 4 for about 60 hours or so in total and know about most things I still love watching these videos Deli because I may learn something new or 2. Also I can't miss one of your videos no matter what!
your videos are so helpful!! i just bought sims 4 yesterday, and was _slightly_ overwhelmed with everything lol, but you explain things in a nice and simple way!
Yeesss! More of these simplified building tutorials! 🤩 I've been playing since the first sims game came out and sims 4 i've been playing for years and i still feel like i don't even want to try building because im so bad at it so i lose interest. This made me feel like even i could possibly build a house for my sim for once, usually i just download someone elses build.
I love your YT tutorials as I am a beginner. very detailed & guided me step by step to build a SIMS house. I have managed to buid a house for my SIMS after watching your YT. Thank you so much. can't wait to view more of your vid.
I am not much of a builder but I 100% know above average level and still I find it so relaxing to watch this, I just love the teacher style and how understanding it is to new simmers and people who don`t own packs and have 0 clue how the game works
I love this and how easily its explained, you can't expect to build something brilliant for the very first build, but I do want to add an extra tip that putting windows more in the middle/higher up on the wall like she did in the kitchen can be nice also! it might just be personal preference but I feel like it looks better from the outside and also makes things easier to layout because objects are less likely to block them :)
I've been playing SIMS 4 on console for 3+ years now, but I finally got the PC version! I'm a good builder on console, but switching to PC was like a whole new game. Thank you for this vid because I couldn't build on PC because it was so confusing! You going through every step helps me a lot 😇
thank you for this as someone who just started with games like this and especially sims ive messed up so many times this is very helpful ide recomend this to anyone who needed help
Deliiiiii! I already know how to build but this is just an amazing video and will be so hopeful to somebody who doesn’t. You honestly have such a lovely way of explaining this. Well done!!
thank you so much I love your videos and I just got into Sims and it’s been hard to find house tutorials because everybody’s like speed build. Let’s not explain anything. Thank you so much for explaining and actually going through it. 😊

Love this again.........you are so helpful to those new players....and some of us old players who wanna go back...and do it all over again to find the love of Sims 4. I took off all my CC and weirdly I was cool building...?

DELI. I love you so much that I watch your new vids regardless of the content, but that bathroom. How could you do that tile/floor combo to our beginners?? 😭
Deli is such a good teacher, not a lot of people can explain things in such a simple way that isn't condescending at all
for real!
Deli: A sink is usually helpful in the kitchen
Every sim ever: Well, that's your opinion * proceeds to use the sink in the bathroom*
LOL, so true
😭
omg😭😭😭
And the trash bin also
deli reminds me of one of those rare teachers that you always are existed to go to their lessons because you actually learn something, like that teacher that everyone in the class loves and respects
Her older video is what taught me the basics!! Along with James’.
Me: *knows how to build house*
My brain: I NEED TO MAKE THIS HOUSE OR IM GONNA DISLOCATE. PLEASE HUMAN
MY THOUGHT EXACTLY LOL
I've been playing sims my whole life, and I already know how to do all this. Yet I'm still watching it 😂 Deli is so good at explaining it in a nice and simple way. Her voice is also really relaxing in this video lol
For those of us who have been playing forever, its hard to imagine how complicated this all must seem at first! This is a good video to send friends who haven't already played before!
Im playing the sims for like 3 years and i still dont know how to build a good house... that's embarssing edit: tysm for all thelikes omgggg
Don't feel embarassed! It's a learning process :) It all comes down to practice and LOTS, LOTS of layouts googling ahahah
EDIT: I've been playing since Sims 1, since around 16 years ago, and believe me, I still struggle sometimes with layouts myself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Girl you lucky at least you have this. Imagine 5 years ago when it was allll letsplays 🥲😭😭😭😭😭😭😂
I've been playing for 21 years and can't build a house
Maybe try looking up some floor plans, try making those and work your way from there
Don’t sweat it. You can only improve from here. Besides, it’s not like EA can build decent, unbroken houses
Me: Been playing the sims for like ten years
My brain: Still watches Deli teach me how to build a house for 16 minutes
So true
Me too
Same going on 11 but still plenty to learn
I love that your doing this! The community is expanding all the time but there isn’t many tutorials online of how to play or build.

Oohhh thats why I havent been able to freely rotate.. thank you so much !
And you can easily switch between sims 3 and sims 4 camera modes by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+TAB
Thank you so much !!! I’ve been trying to figure it out for months
Bless u
I'm playing the Sims 4 for 3 years but I'm still watching this HAHAHAHA
Same here. It feels like i'm new to the sims 4 🤣 I am very terrible at building houses 🤣
Sameee my houses are still ugly
I star in 2017 ( first pack: cats and dogs)
Rilly good vid

Same tho 😂
Same 😂🙈
Can't help but click
And I thought this is just me! Hahaha

Thank you Deli ❤️ I’m trying to get into building and I know that this video is going to help me so much! Xx
Thank you Deli for showing me the sims 4 years ago and teaching me SOOO many things! The sims is now my happy place and so is Deli’s channel!
Honestly, you are an amazing teacher. You teach everything so sweetly and in a way that is easy to understand. Thank you!
I've beeeeen building in the sims. How did i not know we can auto place windows 😭
Same! I was shocked when I saw that and I've been building in the Sims for years!
Same! My mind just 🤯
I’m in shock!
Yeah! But most of the time the game puts the window in really strange places 🤣
@@alicjalipinska4854 LOL, I'll probably never actually use it, but it's good to know it's there!

I used to pretend to do a Make-up UA-cam Video when I got ready or did a haul - now I pretend to do build videos when I build homes in the sims 4 😂😂
Same lol
Omg I am not alone. Hiiiii!👉👈
Omg same
I do that all the time. And when I’m playing in live mode 😂
Relatable
I've been playing sims since I was a teen (I'm 34) and just learned something new!! I had no idea you could place windows by room 😅 Thanks for these basic sims videos, it's true you learn something new every day 😂.

You're a really good teacher, a natural! I've been playing The Sims since it came out, and I even learned a few new things today, thank you! :)
My biggest flex is that I have been watching deli since about the time she started 🥺 she got me to start playing too! I love you deli ✨💕

I've been playing Sims since it first came out back in 2000, including every expansion and game pack, and I still learn new things from Deli's videos!
I'm one of those sims players who downloads from the gallery.
So... I think its about time I learn the basics of building.

Deli: "we're building on a budget"
Also Deli: "let's add some flower beds underneath the window"

Deli the teacher be having 300 teacher's assistants and 14 new students who came to learn 😂😂
Deliiiiii! I already know how to build but this is just an amazing video and will be so hopeful to somebody who doesn’t. You honestly have such a lovely way of explaining this. Well done!!
Thank You! I have had a hard time getting into sims4 after playing 3 for so long, great refresher
This is great short and sweet and informative . I also like how you just have base game. Options so it's not overwhelming . Excellent
Love this! A lot of people do really extravagant builds but not everyone knows the basics x
This is such a cute little tutorial and super accessible I love it 😭
Love the glasses, it gives you a "teacher-look" XD
thank you so much I love your videos and I just got into Sims and it’s been hard to find house tutorials because everybody’s like speed build. Let’s not explain anything. Thank you so much for explaining and actually going through it. 😊
I've been playing The Sims since the very first game but I'm still enjoying these videos lol. Super helpful!
I literally bought the base game today - because I knew this video was available to me. Appreciate you!

i really wish i had a tutorial like this when i started building. this will be so helpful to new players, good job deli!

As a brand new player of Sims 4, this video is very helpful. Thank you! 👍🏻
Great video! I play a lot of Sims but it was so exciting to see the begining, nice to be reminded sometimes of where we all started :)
hey Deli, I love your sims videos. Could you do ever do a hunger games/harry potter theme lets plays? I'm sure you could make it really fun and interesting
The way she explains it it’s so so so so so NICE And SOOTHING! I LOVE IT
Me watching this, knowing I’m just going to get a house off the gallery because I don’t build.
I'd love a video on making a modern home! Most videos on how to make a starter tend towards the suburban style, so I have no idea how to make a modern house that actually looks good. Also, a video talking about different types of homes/design, because even in buy mode there are categories like Queen Anne and Suburban Contempo, and I have no idea what those words mean xD
This video is so much needed. Thank you in the name of all of us simmers
Getting a new pc and finally i will be able to play the Sims again, never played the sims 4 so thank you for this basic tutorials: I love it !
Love it. Lots of little nuggets even those of us who’ve played for years can pick up!
i just got sims 4 for myself, as a beginner, this is so helpful!! thank you!
It looks very easy when you are doing it but I will give it a try. Thank you
this is such a cute, 1 person house for a sim! i love this!!🏡💖
Finally a play through thats just base game, thank you so much!
Thank you for this, I was a bit lost on making my starter home. This guide squared me right up :)
I love this how to series you've been doing
Loved this. Your voice is so soothing and reassuring.
I'm loving these tutorial style videos Delli, keep it up!
This is very interesting. Would love to know how you made the lights smaller, and would love to see more build ideas, and these tutorials. I’ve been on and off playing sims since the original came out, but still good to go back to the basics at times.
DELI. I love you so much that I watch your new vids regardless of the content, but that bathroom. How could you do that tile/floor combo to our beginners?? 😭
This video was super helpful. Thankyou!
