500 watt motor is good for riding park, regular trails, steep hills not so much, u can burn out motor in steep heels on 500 watt, 750 is more better for all around riding, but 1500 to 2000 watts is the best to ride anywhere and have tons of power and torque

Including the battery capacity (AmpHour) would be more helpful in determining the range.
