I guess you could substitute worstechchire...Worcestershire, had to look it up, sauce. Also, I can't eat cilantro, I'm one of the lucky few who taste soap.
not only have I made this carne asada several times I've had to share the marinade. Giving you full credit and telling people to look you up on UA-cam!
Some Mexican-Americans at Percheron Mexican Grill in Tucson, Arizona also make this. It tasted insanely good & one of the best things we have ever eaten. We dipped them in the golden, runny gravy like yolks of baked eggs the second time around (& third & fifth, sixth, etc.). We were there 7 days & ate them 9 times. Never got sick of them.
Reminds me of the giant bacon wrapped Percheron burrito we saw on Mark Wiens UA-cam channel a while back. Went to Tucson, Arizona with it as one of the first things to try. It is wicked good & thank you Sam for saving us time by making this & showing everyone how to prepare it !
In the army barracks I had a hot plate, microwave, crockpot and little hibachi bbq. Amazing what I could make…. Met a woman truck driver once and she cooked with a crockpot all the time she plugged into her truck. Great idea.
@@josephrusso9701 Obviously that's not ideal, but raw bacon - or just severely undercooked bacon - is very unlikely to cause any health issues. I was more worried about the tortilla becoming a soggy mess, especially since Sam didn't toast it. Bacon has a lot of water.
@@nixhixx Yeah it's really only a novelty item. Sam didn't make his O face when he tried it. Bacon wrapping other meats is usually a waste of bacon. Prawns may be the only exception, but even then, that bacon could be put to better use. Bacon wrapping steak is pretty silly... except maybe filet mignon, but again, it's a hat on a hat, to use an entertainment industry term.
Pro tip for everyone watching - cook the bacon first and put it inside. Set aside some of the bacon fat and grill the burrito with it. 10x easier and no mess.
That's called an emulsion blender and you can use it for a number of things soups, homemade spaghetti sauce etc etc. It's actually quite a handy tool I've been using one for a couple years now.

Looks delicious Sam! My Mexican dad would totally eat this. I’d love to see you make mole with red rice on the side and maybe some homemade flour tortillas in the future. Or a mole burrito 😲
I would toss a whole avocado into the blender instead of using a bunch of oil. Balance it out with some lemon and lime juice instead of that zest BS and you are golden!

Small and thin meats tend to cook quickly, even if the smoker is set to ~200°F. This no time for smoke to really penetrate the muscle fibers. The smallest thing I smoke is a whole chicken. The smoker is great if you want to roast a chicken but not use the oven. I call it an “outdoor oven”.

I think the beans were drained so they were cooked already then fried
Refried beans are made from scratch, not from a can. Also, they're refried in manteca/lard. He made pureed ranch bean slop.
