I just had these exact flanges in the shop for hydraulic ram ends. My welds came out looking great, just not quite as good as yours. Give me 5 more years lol. Great vid bro!!

@@wkelly4963 apperently you have more experience with that, im the company where I work the quality standards are not very high, I weld it exactly with the same kind of rig that we use for carbon steel, hence we get lots of spatter ( I mean Argon,CO2 mix (I think 85/15, don't check often as we don't have any other kind of gas) .. From my digging around internet I assume that you should use at the very least higher argon concentration or argon/oxygen mix and a short nozzel (which I applied at work too, short nozzle improves the mess for me)... I don't know the rest, my boss says that we have to weld with as less heat providing settings as possible, but in my oppinion stainless heats up less when you weld quickly with higher amperage(at the very least with TIG) can you fill the gaps in my experience please?

Здесь небольшое тепловложение ,что бы выжечь хром из стали во внутренней стенке трубы,думаю не обязательно,а вот если труба без фланца и стыковое соединение с зазором ,надо подавать инертную среду во внутрь . Иначе обратный валик будет с оксидом хрома,а это меняет свойство материала сварочного шва.

@@joons3374 I weld both alot. For this diameter I prefer using mig. Double pulse 162 amps. Get some nice weldline.
