Stunning flower! This is the only cactus flower I've found so far so I'll use some others that aren't but look something like a cactus flower. I would love to be able to design my own but I have all I can do to follow the instructions!! Thanks for sharing your talent!
i loved Maggie's tutorials but i find christina's lacking completeness. i realize we are supposed to know the basics and then some but that is no excuse to make an instructional video that is often lacking steps.
So I just found this video, I realize this comment was made two years ago but my god does it resonate. As someone who has ADHD if you don't show me all the steps in detail I am gonna be lost. That said, I literally can not figure out how she got six petals by skipping loops. When I tried this I kept ending up with five that rounded back into the first part and no room for six, and it all looked horrible. So like... I'm lost. There's no way for me to even begin to figure it out without an explanation so inevitably I just gave up which is unfortunate because this would have been the perfect flower for the project I am working on. Alas ... oh well. Guess a link to this vid won't be included in my finished project.
@@alabastercrow9096 there were 12 single crochets in the green center disk (round 2) and she picked one (any one since it's the first stitch - just a place to begin) so it would go like this: slip stitch in 1st and work cluster petal, skip 2nd , slip stitch in 3rd and work cluster petal, skip 4th, slip stitch in 5th and work cluster petal, skip 6th, slip stitch in 7th and work cluster petal, skip 8th, slip stitch in 9th and work cluster petal, skip 10th, slip stitch in 11th and work cluster petal, skip 12th and slip stitch in 1st to close - this should give you 6 petals worked in stitches 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 of the green center disk - make certain you are working all the double crochets and final slip stitch of the cluster in the same stitch before you move on to the next cluster - that may be where you are losing a stitch to work in which would give you less than 6 petals - it would have been nice if she had shown the last cluster and the slip stitch to close but she didn't - hope this didn't confuse you
@@roli3342 I realize it should. But alas. I'm horrible at figuring stuff out unless it's taken super slow, and unfortunately I'm a very visual learner. If I don't see the whole process my brain just doesn't obsorb. It's probably more my own fault than anything, though I appreciate the help. Thank you so much.
Beautiful! I loved making them ♥️🌺
I'm so glad you love making them.
Thank you for watching and commenting.
