@@daffysreptiles me too! I have a black substrate steno enclosure in the works. Building this weekend! Gonna split the colony and add more members to each!
ABIIIIIIIII!!! 👊🏼 This is what I was trying to do with mine but I used the exoterra clay and did NOT achieve what my mind pictures. 😂 This is a phenomenal job 👏🏼👏🏼 the Stenos are going to LOVE IT.
I commented on one of your vids previously asking about a 2 foot vivarium, which you very helpfully answered my questions. though I am wondering about how you would set up a 2 foot vivarium for a sand gecko and any tips or tricks you may have to lead me in the right direction. I am not entirely focused on aesthetics just wanting to create a liveable habitat suitable for this species. I also do not have a massive budget either. please may you answer my questions. thank you.
I would not add more than a trio into something this size! A 2 foot vivarium you could definitely do more! You can scape it however you want as long as they have a 2-3 inch depth of sand and lots of hides, a water bowl, a basking spot around 95 Fahrenheit & somewhere they can get away from the heat you should be good! I will put out a care guide on this species soon!
nice video ! what is the diferent between Stenodactylus sthenodactylus and Tropiocolotes steudneri ? which ones are the best biginner and can you keep them together?
Thank you! Stenos are quite abit larger than Tropicolotes and you can actually pick them up and handle them where as the tropicolotes are a look only species they are too tiny to handle. I think they both make awesome pets tho! I wouldn’t recommend putting them together an adult stenodactlyus could probably eat a tropicolotes!
Stenos love buried structure, I use a heat pad under the enclosure on my basking side too
I’ll have babies with me September expo
Yes they definitely do! I have heat pads on almost all my Stenodactylus enclosures but I’m testing out different heating methods with this one!
Sign me up! Always looking for more CB babies to add to my group!

Yeah the clay holds up well but it does crack a bit which can add to certain aesthetics, I do wanna try making things with that clay

Hey! Thank you! I do ship them usually but I don’t think I will be shipping/ selling anymore this year!
@@daffysreptiles awwww ok I love the set great job
@@janineharris3601 thank you so much! @themicroverse killed it!!
Where can I buy a couple of Stenos from you?
I don’t have any available at the moment but if you DM me on instagram I can add you to my waitlist!!
So the dimmer thing would be at the rock on the top, where that would be the hottest, right
I don’t have a dimmer on this lamp it just goes on or off but yes that rock on top is the basking spot!
