Hay lofts are good, & obviously give a great place to store the hay. However, I've unloaded hay trucks & put the bales up into a loft & it's really hard work! I bet Nick & Jennie have the technique down pat though! Also, I don't know how a loft would work with these big round bales - when I was doing it, it was with the small rectangular bales. One thing we know is that the Moons will come up with a good solution

As we look at the high ceiling in the barn. If you could build a second level to use as food storage for the horses. When put in that concrete floor. Put in a drain in the middle of the floor with a grate so you can drain the water away from the barn. So you don't make a muddy area at the edge of the concrete. As always careful planning.
I am so happy the Legends are getting the support they need. Grace is like a new horse. You gave her love and care and a new lease on life, as you did with the others. ❤

I’d like to see plans of your intended renovations to help me better understand the layout. Can you explain why the “herd” is outside. Who makes up the herd? Why are they outside and not in the stables? You can tell I don’t know the first thing about horses. 😊
I know that for years you have dreamed and thought of what the barn could look like, function, and improve the quality of living for the horses. Think about the fact that the Moons put family and horses first. They will do the barn before they think about their home. They love their home but the Legends need to feel love and the safety in their surroundings. This is a very special endearing family! They function on integrity and use donations with extreme caution! Those pennies are squeezed tight! The Magical Moons do it all with "LOVE". PS. Know any donation would be used appropriately. Some don't have extra to donate... Then thumbs up and share! It all helps!
