I just bought the Hart 18in Supercharged 40v Chainsaw. I have the 40v lawn mover. I have two 40v Batteries so always have one as a back up and with the Supercharger, by the time the one dies the other is ready to go. The Hart Lawnmower outperforms my 170cc Gas mower which will choke on thicker moist grass. The Hart may bog down, but goes right thru it. Also my gas mower will smoke it's ass off on some hills at a steep angle. Thought I blew the motor 1st time it happened. Lol Looking forward to seeing how this Chainsaw performs. My 2-stroke 18in died on me.
Battery powered chainsaws and weedeaters are NEVER going to replace gasoline powered tools but they are a nice alternative to corded electric saws when it comes to cutting those smaller trees around the yard or on the property. Yes, these saws do work well but they are what they are and I doubt there will ever be a battery powered chainsaw (or weedeater) capable of longevity of use and power that will match up to the gasoline powered stuff. I used to be completely against all of this battery powered stuff because the batteries were so weak and they still aren't as good as they could be but they work. I also do not like the fact that most of these cordless units are sold separately from the batteries and chargers and you might get the saw for $60 but when you go to get the battery it costs in excess of $100 and the chargers are another $50 or $60. That is a trick designed to make people think they are getting a good deal on the saw then when they have to buy the battery they realize it isn't a good deal at all. I will NOT buy a unit that does not include a battery and a charger. If I decide to purchase an extra battery on down the road then I will but they should not come separately.
100 Percent agreed! Better pricing and longer battery life is needed for these.. We got this unit from my brother to try out and it worked great surprisingly! Battery only last 25 mins so for little things around the home this would be great! We still will be using gas powered Stihl equipment until we retire lol.
Hurricane Helene no power no water and no store or chainsaw so this Hart will have to get the job done. I hope this extra $180.00 battery does the job costing same price as this 14 bar 40v chainsaw
Like he said good for DIY home owners. But cutting commercial properties all day electric wouldn't work. I have all Hart electronics and im a home owner. Best thing I ever invested in, but it does die quick if Im going to cut more than one tree (as I said not good for commercial).
