Great video man, exactly what I was looking for. I got the same issue on an 03 yukon but the timing cover doesn't seem to be as isolated as this one. It's just a big flat wall so I don't know if heating it is even an option if I gotta heat it right at the threads, or in the housing. The bolts are still intact though so that's a plus
I ran in to this many times they seize up from corrosion, what i do is made a hollow bit from brake line that just fit over the bolt, you install a steel rod in one end of the line so you can grip it tight with a drill and the other end make it jagged to cut the corrosion, and it worked great . and the timing cover was never damaged, the bolts would come out as you drilled, it was so easy to do. just snap all the heads off which usually happened trying to remove them then drill them no problem did it many times and never damaged the cover. so simple.No heat required. hope this makes your day The hollow drill bit is easy to make. I was self employed for 30+ years now retired.

Horse shoe of luck ! That chain needs to go but that set up wasn't stock either! A lot of crude but ez to service! Timing chains and water pumps on new modern engine,s OMG! And many hrs$$ labor! 96 ,that's the end of bronco 2 style? Price tag on a new bronco! Ouch! Looking forward to see final results/video! My guess that was the second timing chain on engine and it's has over 100k miles on it! THOSE 302 run forever!
