Realmente genial, Red Garland con ese sonido tan armonioso y con una energía única. Paul Chambers es realmente un maestro inventivo. Gracias por compartir ☺
@@bennybennybenny1 First of all, I'm a Big fan of your music Mr. Green and almost had a chance to study with you at Umich during the Spring 2015 semester (and regret not doing so). I agree with you and Bob concerning the left hand of Red Garland. He is able to generate a tremendous amount of forward motion with his left hand, which in turn positively affects the lyrical, bebop-influenced lines of his right hand. I learned this first hand by transcribing his solo on "Billy Boy." In my mind, Red Garland (in addition to Wynton Kelly, Horace Silver, and early Bill Evans) is a musician every young pianist should study as a foundation for bebop and the blues.
@@BillyDScott-lp4sw Hello Billy! Red is truly one of the greatest! If you know (and obviously you do), then you know! Hope to meet up with you someday, sending best vibes!
@@bennybennybenny1 Thanks for the response Mr. Green. I agree with you 100% on Red. He was truly underrated, and sadly, I do not think his performances were ever captured on film. Look forward to meeting you again someday or seeing you in concert. -Billy D.
check out Wynton Kelly's whisper not record, A side is with Philly Joe, B side only piano trio with Kenny Burrell if my memory serves correct, killing record!!!!
This thrills my music heart ❤

Priceless!! Thanks, Benny!!
The left-hand offbeat in the piano is a big part of what makes this work. Nice post.
Great point! Thank you!
