First 10 seconds in saying they’re about to demonstrate their skill I’m pretty sure he just hit the car in front when parking that’s why it cuts to the next scene
Good sense of humour from the men and interesting to see that even the experts cannot always sort these things out first time. It is certaily worth householders buying some simple drain snakes or rods for sinks etc. and a plunger just to try that yourself first.
My sister found that her extension was over one of these drains and the men had to make a new access to it on that floor just to get at it through the new room or something like that. I think the extension had been built with access but it was certainly harder than when it was just outside garden.
True say, this is actually called a winser trap. An interceptor is a staged tank system designed to remove solids or liquids from the final effluent, usually oils from car washes and the like. In fairness though these traps do act the same, settling the heavy solids in the bottom and allowing liquids to pass over. These are actually a Victorian design to localise blockages and stop rats and odours from coming toward the homes. Good idea until they worked out rats can swim and vent pipes work better 🙂
I really like this one I live in Michigan Flint getting a Bishop Airport star homes or mobile homes are similar to this but not this close I really wish that was back in Scotland
Me before watching this video: "Being a Drainage Engineer could be a fun job". Me after watching this video: " HELL NO am I applying for this job I saw advertised today".
I can assure you that's only minor in only 2 weeks working on drains iv seen lumps of shit on people's driveways and smells that would literally kill you iv had shit on me iv been standing in shit and yea it's not a nice job at all
Measure the length of hose going from the private mh to the main and you would of known it’s thames water responsibility or just lift the main cover after 5 mins of jetting with van.
Water authorities are privately owned. But yes shared drainage or drainage off the customers boundary is the water authorities asset so the cost is met by them (then passed to the water rates paying public lol)
@@JoshD280 "that job" makes sure you poo in a toilet and don't have to worry about where it goes afterwards, it takes all your washing up water to the centre where its processed and made clean and safe then recycled so you can open your tap safe in the knowledge that you can bathe and drink the liquid that comes out with no worries. Admittedly these guys aren't the greatest but most work hard for long hours and do a wicked job. Does what you do ensure millions of people can have a sanitary place to live with clean water to drink?
Yikes. Why were they so condescending and rude to that older lady just because she wasn't in? For all you know she had an appointment or somewhere important to be, acting as if the world revolves around them. I usually really like these "grime fighters" but these ones are not very nice 😑.
That's like calling someone to come to fix something and leaving, it was absent-minded of her. She should have at the very least told her niece what needed to be done.

Why these channel only have 22k subscribers? This channel is more entertaining than every UA-cam Channels.
Ikr 🤯
Because its your family work 😂
In like it, doesnt mean I need to subscribe
Longer videos would boost their subscriber count, if the rights are legit. Like full length episodes.
Weak stomachs. Plain and simple.

I’m sure the man himself isn’t filthy. I Expect he has quite a long shower before work
«When you wake up in the morning and your garden is full of water what are you gonna do?»

«Buy some fish 🤷🏻♂️»
Great video. 💙 T.E.N.
Love watching these videos while been furloughed lol
Anyone else think the narrator sounds a little bit like Stephen Fry?

Somebody call Ollie and Ratty, this is a job made for them. They would’ve made it a quick work. lol
You can tell these guys were not having a brilliant day. We all have them unfortunately!

I’d love a job as a Drainage Engineer
Ram it down there!!
They are “pro’s” 😂🤣
Do they get paid decent?
Trying to date this isn’t easy. It’s pre mid 2010s, but I don’t THINK it’s any older than 08 or ‘09. I’m going to guess about 2010.
are these from like 2005 or something
thanks
Waiting 4 this
The british have nice houses, would love to live there some day.
Are you from London?
I'm a drainage engineer it's the best job on planet earth !
You notice that the only time it worked there was plumber's crack
"engineer" 😂😂😂😂
there much be 100s of years of grease and body waste in those sewers
The family is satesfied for your service. I think some says, that waste is not from us. Granma says hahaha oh iho...
London is so diverse
They are some rookie "plumbers".
a touch of bills rod
Why go out, leave no access to the back.....knowing they are due round!!!
So who must pay this? 6:14
Because it's on the Mains it's the water company who have to deal with it so nobody pays for it, kind of like the Government Subsidiary
Water authorities are privately owned. But yes shared drainage or drainage off the customers boundary is the water authorities asset so the cost is met by them (then passed to the water rates paying public lol)
Complains about blocked drains... isn’t home for when the workers show up to unblock it...🙄
Standard! Lol
2:27
No cones or barriers around them open manholes
One more man for safety, 2 jets up the same pipe?
They need Drain Addict
It's just one of the things that happens ain't it
So what a waste of time and money why didn’t they check the mains first 🤷♂️
exactly ,,, :-/
Hence why there doing that job! 😂

Geez a drain engineer? what does a plumber do then?
L CT plumbers don't generally deal with drains once they get below ground level.
Generally plumbers =fresh or potable water, drainage engineers = foul or non potable water
I could use some of this english ngl
Drain addict anyone
Simon is karl pilkington's cousin
Are you aving a laff?
success it’s not
quality quality quality
Its more accurate to say drain technicians
Hmmmmmm.........I wonder if Bill is still single ☺😊😉
