Emily, you are so talented with your sense of style & decorating! The router should have plenty of air flow in the basket and what a great idea! The sound bar actually fades into the wall! Also, your olive tree still looks store bought from a high end interior decorating store.😊It looks like a nice rental and I’m hoping you and the family will enjoy living in Nashville. I’m excited for you, I know your not as close to where your mom and sisters live, but in the same Country and maybe they will come see you in Nashville! My grandma used to say “ if you can’t find a man that’s handy, make sure he’s handsome”. My hubby was both and yours is too plus there’s no denying his ❤️ for his wife and little ones. Hey, Emily! You're so creative and I live how you just jump.in there and get it done! Here's a suggestion for the sofa placement: move it in front of the window , then place the chairs facing it with a coffee table in the middle. That would give more walking space into the front door. Can't wait to see what else you do! Love you! ❤️
Yep, I thought that placement of the sofa would be a nice option. It would open up the area a little bit and allow for easy flow from the front door. The room turned out lovely and the white paint really helped lighten up the whole space. Looking forward to more videos !
I was going to suggest the same thing. This way the energy from the front door can go around the chairs. No blockage at the wall

I believe the greenery you foraged is called a privet and it’s considered an invasive plant but I love them they will flower in spring and the berries will turn navy in the fall! They remind me of eucalyptus as well. And I know this isn’t an issue for you but in case someone else reads this, privet is toxic to cats. And the white paint was definitely the right move
Try the sofa in front of the chairs. This leaves the cabinet open to help with the walkway. Just a suggestion, I ALWAYS love your finished projects!
I initially thought the same but then had to consider that the sofa would not be across from the tv.
Updating the TV mount with an affordable swivel mount would help solve this!
There isn’t enough space on that side of the room. I don’t think you can tell from the video bc I don’t show it much. It would completely block off the walking space to the stairs and formal dining area. We tried putting one chair over there and even that felt too closed in.

Simple, cozy, beautiful. The only thing that I'd find another solution to, is the router, because It gets hot, and it is dangerous. You are very creative. I love that.

When we was growing up that was called a switch bush and when you didn't listen you got one of those little Twigs wrapped around your legs and you knew the next time to listen what your mama said I had many of them wrapped around my legs and so did my kids back in the day
Designing a floor plan from scratch can be a highly exciting process but in some cases also stressful. My wife and I still don't agree on many things, especially on how to distribute things in the living room area since space is limited and we give it several different uses. We recently ordered a Bellini sofa from Manhattan Home Design and have already transformed it several times because she likes to arrange it in a different way than I prefer. Advantages of modular sofas haha xD. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I love the new space Emily! So cozy and stylish. You know what might look really cute behind the couch is two of the shallow shoe cabinets from Ikea side by side in white of course. I've seen people do that and it looks built in and you have lots of storage (I like the Hemnes 4 compartment). I know whatever you do it will look adorable. I absolutely love that cabinet you had there. Would love to have one like that! But you were right that it would look better somewhere else. I hope you find a good spot for it❤️

They make shelves to hold the speaker and it will look like it's apart of your TV. That would get it off of the mantle. You're doing great though, everything looked so good at the end!! You will get all decorated and settled in just in time to move! 😄 A year goes by quick!

You can set your sofa on the front window wall and then have the two chairs facing the sofa. Frees up space as you walk in? Just a thought. ☺️
