To dumb it down it is edm with bright melodies, fades, usually 2-5 chorded melodies layered over, funky samples, chill most of the time and the list goes on. It's kind of like happy trap without all the ghetto slang samples that are in trap and no dark melodies. Now it will be tainted thanks to the city channels making it popular but it was fantastic from mid 2015 and back. R.I.P.
