"In loving memory of Mickey Rooney and for Robin Williams, magic never ends" Such a wonderful tribute for two legendary actors for their final movie together
Robin Williams' final line in this movie was heartbreaking as this was one of his final roles. It felt like he knew he won't be long living in this world, it felt like he knew that his career is going to end sooner than we think. Even Shawn Levy said that Robin was struggling during filming of this last movie. That last line of his, "Smile my boy, it's sunrise" really felt like Robin saying goodbye to the audience forever 😢
@@moxiemaxie3543you’re an assh*le just so you know. They said it felt like something. Maybe not exactly what it is but still. True fans took it that way and it’s still heartbreaking to know he’d soon be gone.

I just love how they played the X-Men theme song when Hugh Jackman was pretending to do his Wolverine thing 😂😂 Also, Alice Eve is freaking gorgeous. A Camelot musical theater play starring Hugh and Alice would've been fascinating
36:49 it is implied that Akmenrah died at 18 years old, similar to King Tutankhamen. And a deleted dialogue from the second film says that Kahmunrah killed Akmenrah.
I’ll never forget watching this movie in theaters. As soon as Lancelot swung open that door and I heard the first few belted notes, I instantly knew it was Hugh Jackman. I was so pleasantly shocked.
The best part of this movie is Robins last line. " Smile my boy, It's sunrise." Granted not to be a downer, his last line in a movie before he died was "Have you thought this thing through." Kinda sad.
In the second movie, there was literally a scene with Darth Vader and Oscar the Grouch trying to join the villains club. So according to the Night at the Museum rules, fictional characters do indeed come to life as well.
This is a solid ending for The Trilogy that brings the heart and humor. The final scene with Roosevelt Is A Nice Goodbye To Robin Williams RIP To Him And Mickey Rooney.
Modern day scholars say that yes Lancelot, Guinevere and Arthur were historical figures who were mythologised after their deaths for e.g Guinevere was mythologised as a 'Celtic Persephone'.
I honestly didn't realized that Laaa was also played by Ben Stiller. If one Ben Stiller is good enough, imagine two of him in a scene together as different characters
A 2018 biography on Williams, written by Dave Itzkoff, corroborates the story that Williams' deterioration took hold while filming the third and final Night at the Museum film. His makeup artist on the film, Cheri Minns, also told The New York Post in 2018 that he would end every day “sobbing in my arms”.
They actually made an animated sequel! Shawn Levy isn't directed it but producing it. Ben Stiller isn't back in the sequel which is a shame. Is it good? It's alright 😅 nothing can't beat the live action ones that's for sure! Basic plot is that his son follows in his dad footsteps and becomes a night guard at the museum. It is a Disney+ original so whether you guys want to cover it it's at your own discretion but the movie is fine imo didn't love or hate it :)
I genuinely like this one as much as the first, but not as much as the second. Ben Kingsley and Anjali Jay were so great as the Pharaoh and his queen (and he still looks amazing for almost 81!) Though, Alice Eve is not Australian, she’s English and Dan’s accent is so good because he’s also English.
Which Night at the Museum was your FAVORITE?? ...also who should RYAN REYNOLDS play in 10 years when Ben Stiller & Sean Levy return for then inevitable Legacy Sequel??
This isn't my favourite NATM film, but I won't deny it's one of the funniest, and it actually makes Akhmenrah a main character this time (since he was wasted in NATM2), and Laa is probably the best new character in this film 😂. Lancelot also saying "Dangly Bells" also gets me in stitches XD.
Octavius and Jedediah are still an amazing comedy duo in this movie. Love how the editing team still played with close up shot then cuts back to another close up shot of them screaming then cuts back
History isn't a factor in bringing things to life, the tablet just brings things to life, doesn't matter if they were real or not, but we've only seen it used in museums so almost all of the things brought up life have been historical figures, but being one definitely isn't a requirement
Definitely In the second movie we see some abstract art sculptures come to life, and in both the second AND third movie there are multiple living paintings, some of which are not inspired on real people and things
@@MsMya89 They're joking around. I don't know what dialogue was left in the edited reaction because I watched the watchalong, but they made it obvious they were being facetious. Still, they were valid in questioning how it works. The tablet passes by plenty of statues and other inanimate objects that are not brought to life. For example, the statues right in front of the museum... At the time same, they also made it obvious they don't care that much about how the tablet works.
@@ImAlsoMerobiba it’s a joke the first and second time you make it however if you keep making the same joke it stops being funny and just starts being annoying. But again that’s just my opinion, but if you like hearing the same joke over and over good for you, no hate but I’m allowed to feel how I feel. ( and so are you ♥️👍)
Alrighty so quick facts for you guys. All three of these live action movies were directed and produced by Shawn Levy so to answer one of your questions Greg since he was directly involved with all three yes there is probably a continuous through line plot wise.
This is why I really like your channel Greg. Every so often there’s this particular group of movies or a particular movie that is audience specific or age specific that you guys review so I get to see how adults view these types of movies and whether it actually works or not. now for me personally night of the museum are just young children’s movies like 1213 year olds movies it’s a movie that I can take my kid to go watch to have fun but because of the perspective of you guys I get to see if it works
Or with the whole Deadpool and wolverine movie coming out and watching a lot of interviews lately, especially with shawn Levy he mentioned quite a bit that some of his movies particularly the family ones he does them with his kids in mind so I have a feeling that these three movies are really aimed for young children with certain aspects for adults, which is why Ben Stiller is there and some of the jokes are kind of aimed around the family dynamic, but essentially these movies are made for young kids to go with their family and just have fun
I’m watching the section of the video where you guys guys are recapping and I just realize now that in all three movies when they do the scenes where Ben Stiller is playing off of another character that’s not really there and it’s a long scene. You have a very good point that that must’ve been one of the more intricate layups because of the back-and-forth I never realized before, but that’s a very very good point

Sadly though not his final credited role, his final credited role was voicing a dog in a terrible Simon Pegg movie called Absolutely Anything. Robin’s final lines on film are sadly him as a dog planning SA on the movie’s villain

I haven't seen it but they did end up making a fourth movie called Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again in 2022, starring Joshua Basset (Ricky from HSM:TM:TS) but it's a little over an hour long and animated!

Then the author of the first book made a second book where in that one because that character in the children’s book left his water running in his house, had caused a flood in New York City, and that the creatures in the oceanic display came to life.
