  • Lots of recurve archers have issues needing to move their sight left or right when moving to different distances. The fix is SIMPLE! But most people "level" their sight the wrong way.
We have a built in adjustment on the sight bar for a reason, I'll show you how to set it up the best way to prevent the need to adjust windage when shooting different distances.

You're putting out consistently great content which is helping me immensely to understand the detailed tuning mechanics that many of the local club coaches simply don't fully grasp themselves! Really appreciate the time and effort you are putting into the channel!

Dude.. youre a total bad ass for uploading all of these both the tuning and form playlist. With quarantine, it makes it super difficult to be able to go to a range, so im working on perfecting my 5 meters in my garage so i know 100% that my form and my bow are in tune before I even shoot long distance. Many many many thanks!!!

I just went through this process in my back yard (early 'false summer 🙂, ahead of what looks to be 2 weeks of near-winter rolling in 😞). Almost perfectly replicated the Kaminski experience - that is, the part of the experience where you learn how much strength you lose over a long winter layoff from archery 😀 So - 2 weeks of strength exercises and TABATA drills ahead, before I try again !! Thanks Jake, for steering me to here.

that helped a lot. I was definitely needing to change my windage setting at each distance. I thought my bow was pretty plumb but a hanskea level showed the cant on the bow and this method have reduced the change quite a bit from 20 to 60 meters. Still a tiny bit out but it is no longer 2 to 4 full turns like it was yesterday

Thanks for the sight adjusting information. I’ve done the reverse sight before but always tried to keep it vertical usually interrupting my process in doing so. Looking forward to trying your method tomorrow. Also just to let everyone know I did your walk back from the ten to 40 yards and shooting groups was able to easily adjust dynamic center shot much easier than ever before.

Thanks for sharing this quick and fairly easy trick......you gotta have nerves of steel to pull off this adjustment minutes before a shoot.
The small footprint of the mounting block combined with the long sight bar make the assembly delicate....then add in distortion created by temperature variation of the aluminum and Argghhhh. : )
