- This is my first car model build. Many mistakes have been made but I'm still learning. If you have any suggestions please leave a comment below. If you like the video please hit that like button, if don't then double click that dislike button :) Thank you!
Ive seen so many people building the engines and everything else BEFORE paint....
Have always found it WAY easier to paint all parts while they're still attached to the mold.
Mykola keep building you will learn as you go and it's fun to build I really like to build Harley Davidson bikes & trucks. I've been building for about 30 yrs. Just have FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!
I truly hope you don’t mind this long conversation that I’m about to add, but I hope that it’s worth the read. I’m currently working on the same kit and trying to find the color that I’m wanting to use. I can’t seem to find the color that I want as I’m building it, and I was reminded of a story that I heard Paul Harvey told one time about a man that had been married to his wife for several years and he wanted to give her a special birthday gift to her since she had been a truly wonderful wife. He asked her what she might want for her birthday, and she told him that she had always wanted a red 1955 T bird. Not just any red but the reddest red he could find. Well he found the T bird but it wasn’t the red she wanted. So he kept trying to find the red she wanted but just couldn’t figure it out, so he finally asked her what color she wanted, so she pointed to her feet and asked, do you see the color on my toenails? She said, that’s the color I want. Since he loved her so much, he ordered, I don’t remember how many, but he ordered enough cases of that Revlon red nail polish to paint her car, and she loved it. Now that’s real love right there. So I’m wondering if I’m gonna have to order Revlon nail polish to get the color I have and airbrush it on. Sorry that this was so long, but I just wanted to share the stupid things that come up in my stupid little mind.
where does the lower radiator hose go?
Glue as much together as you can before you paint. Scrape any paint and chrome away from areas that you are going to glue. The glue melts the plastic and forms a weld. Not cleaning the paint off will make the weld not as strong. You'll get there. Patience is key.
Thank you for the advice! This is the first time build I'm still learning.
@@MyKolaReal You'll get there. Just remember that you are building 'your' version of the model. Do what makes you happy. Watch HPIguy on youtube. He does a good job explaining and doesn't use only 'expensive' paints. He is the one that got me back into modeling after 20+ years of not building.
Nice job with the motor
Thank you
Well I like what you're doing but I would use a flat black spray can to paint your engine block and then either hand paint the engine block Orange or spray it with an orange the black brings out Shadows on the engine block and also I like to use a silver paint or aluminum paint or even a steel paint on the transmission instead of the whole engine and transmission all orange I think your engine block should be a darker Orange that's why I suggest either a primer grey primer not white primer or spread with a black flat black
Thanks for the advice! I appreciate your comment. I will keep this in mind when I do the next model.
Great video, keep modeling
Use Tamyia or frog yellow masking tape the tack is much milder!!
Ok 👌. Thank you!
Picard!! LOL! Great job though. I learned a few things. Thanks
Bad music choice. I’d rather hear nothing than that crap.
You can always mute and put your own music on
