Nicole built our swimming pool in her backyard in Holland. In the USA it's a plunge, spool or cocktail pool.

Juist do it, build your own concrete pool.
But, there are many types of swimming pools. We choose this pool with a concrete floor en concrete walls. Do your research and find out what suites you best, like an icf pool, intex pool, an aufbau, Intex, Alberca, an inground.
During the construction of the swimming pool, Nicole went through all the steps of building his own pool. On our canal you can see all these steps. You can see in detail what it takes to build your own swimming pool. But you can also watch videos about the maintenance of a swimming pool.

I'm building a pool similar to yours and was wondering what size sand filter pump you used.
I have a filter for pools up to 24000 liters. I have a small pool a plunge.

I love this but where is the suction at the bottom of the pool. Don't most pools have a bottom drain?

I'm from Australia where every second house has a pool, and I've rarely if ever seen any with a bottom drain. For what? If you really need to get the water out, just attach the pool vacuum hose to the pump and pump it out.
