i agree with ur definition of the merzbow effect. it can be a really enjoyable track structure, but it also feels a bit like the most simple structure u could possibly think of for a noise track despite straight up HNW, and there are plenty of noise artists doing longform jam-type tracks with more movement in the structure
i agree with the merzbow effect, even other "harsh" musicians (like diabarha) sometimes suffer from the merzbow effect (or the intro is really bad and the middle part is good). As a big hatoful fan, i am glad that merzbow has multiple albums dedicated to pigeons, cute birds. he even has vids of his fantail pigeons on twitter.
Thanks for the review. I shall consider it when I decide if I am going to purchase the album. Have you reviewed "Death Ceremonies" by Controlled Death / Rudolph Eb.er?
@@Alpha27music I watched your review and I enjoy "Death Ceremonies" more than you do. When in comes "noise" music recordings ( or other music) I am not only interested how it "sounds". I am interested in the sound sources and techniques used in the creation of the overall "music" I have never heard anything similar to "Death Ceremonies" so perhaps I have not heard as much music as you have.
@@jas31937 They've done releases together in the past, so my expectations were much higher, since I've enjoyed some of their previous collaborations more.

Those Merzbow pigeon vids are the greatest Twitter content.
Great insights. I agree on it being good but unsurprising. I also find the opening "dovenoise" an interest quirk
