I absolutely love watching art studio/workstation tours so I clicked on this video as soon as I saw it! I love your workstation, especially how organized it is. We also have some of the same art supplies, like the DeSerres pencil crayons. I remember them being super inexpensive when I got them (I think they were on sale). I don't use them very often, since I prefer my mom's old Prisma Colors, but they're nice to have in my 'outside' collection, so that if I get the urge to sketch or draw when in public, I have something to do so with. I also have a set of Staedtler drawing pencils, which are also hand me downs from my mom. My favorites are the 4H, H, and 2B, and what I love most about them is that the leads NEVER break. I've had them for almost 10 years now (I don't know how long my mom had them before giving them to me), and they've survived hours of bumpy car rides without any breaking. Same thing with the Prisma Colors. Also it's super sweet that your dad made you a little play button! I do have a couple of questions though. 1: Do you find it difficult having a carpet under your desk? For instance, does it get messy from working on art? 2: Where did you get that cute cat light?
1. The carpet doesn't really bother me that much! Just in general, a dark carpet like that shows every little bit of garbage so I wish it was lighter, maybe grey or light brown. 2. Hmm I'm not sure! It was a gift. Look up "cat light changing colour" and you might find some similar ones!
