  • I just received my Azub Ti-Fly. I recorded the unboxing for those who are thinking of getting one. I will do a more in depth look over the details soon.

You are doing it all wrong. You must first press on all those bubbles in the plastic before you throw it away.

This is pretty old now so hope you see this post. I just got hit (hard) on my ICE SprintX after 6K miles. I’m okay but the trike is ruined. The driver’s insurance will pay full value of replacement (along with about $500 in winter clothes and helmet all torn to shreds) I think the ti fly may be a bit taller and more visible. Also full suspension may make jumping up on the sidewalk in high traffic areas more accessible than the ICE with low ground clearance and rear suspension only. I had just taken virtually the third trial ride w/ 1000 watt mid drive motor and it along with the battery makes the whole trike feel more cumbersome to handle. I don’t believe I will replace the motor and use that value toward a more expensive trike or even Azub Max.

Damn Mark, I am sorry to hear that, I hope you are ok? We always ride hoping this doesn't happen to us. I wish you a speedy recovery and that you are able to get back out on a new trike soon.

I would love to hear your thoughts on it when you have had a chance to ride it for a while. I have done probably 1600km on mine now

Hi Richard. Great video. Did you go with the soft or hard titanium suspension? Could you elaborate on the quality issues? Was that mainly the BB7 brakes giving you problems? I am going with the Strumey Archer Drums. Cheers!

Hi Carl, I got the hard suspension, as i am not as lean as i used to be, this has worked out great. The suspension is super smooth and the effect is very subtle.
As for quality control issues, one of the biggest issues i had was with the brakes, the mounting bracket on one of the wheels was not square meaning that the wheel suffers from brake rub very easily. I worked around this by grinding the caliper mount flat and then shimming it with a thin plate.
I wanted the hydraulics as i wanted the extra stopping power.
I can tell you i have no regrets after hitting 55kph on a downhill in Germany, and coming successfully to a stop, whilst towing a trailer.
I can also tell you I was grinning like an idiot all the way, while simultaneously pushing thoughts of death out of my brain
I dont think you will have any regrets. i know i don't., it is hard to beat, and the control configuration is way better than everything else out there (I have tried a few different trikes)

@@RichardHurd Thanks for the response. Smart decision to go with he hydraulics. Low maintenance, smooth and amazing stopping power. I have an e-bike with them.
"the mounting bracket on one of the wheels was not square..."
I believe I am suffering from that on my current Catrike Dumont. The rotors on one side were bent.
I see you went with the spring/gas shock. Any regrets or thoughts on the Fox Float Air?
Would you have changed anything about what you ordered?
      I have a Ti-Fly 26" on order and should be receiving mine May/June 2022. :)
      Cheers!

Thanks Richard. Nice to know that it comes 95% assembled. Fitting the wheels, seats and the pedals are the easy parts.

Oh wow, I hadn't realised so many people had watched this. Who knew there was so much interest. Yeah it arrives in a pretty complete state, and with just a few minutes effort it is ready to use. It has been a few months now, and I have racked up probably 2000km on it (including a 3 week long holiday tour) so its high time I made a follow up video with my thoughts, experiences and impressions.
I promise once Xmas is over, and I get back home, I will sit down and make a proper review video.
And thanks for the Sub, it has helped to motivate me.

I am learning to make videos and your feedback is appreciated. Music is a divisive thing. I am honestly surprised at the number of views this has had. I will try and do follow up to talk about the trike and ownership. But I am not an aspiring youtuber. I just put this out so people who might buy one can see what to expect.
