I've played about 15 hours of this game now and agree that, while challenging, it's definitely a game you can pick up for a a few hours here and there and still do well.
i bought this game like 3 years ago ish. when it came out, the fact that they havent expanded the map and have very little in the way of upgrades from what i played. This game is dead.
I have been here since day one and it’s sad how small pop is. I still swear it’s the best Dead Game around. It has flaws and some wrong written code that’s making it hard for them now but it still has a lot of potential. They have killed the game by not listening to the players not playing. They listen to the ones already playing and that’s pointless as they are already happy.
yes, only NPCs can attack you on PVE servers, and yes you can do missions, loot and build your base. You can invite your friends in game to create a squad so you can do the difficult missons.
I'd say give it a try, there's a bunch of PvE servers that you can play on and some of them are empty so you'll be basically the only one grinding on there. I personally use these servers for cinematics and thumbnails😁
Ohhh don’t talk to me about base building I build a mega compound on release when u had to craft every single plank then make beams or plyboard. Omg them days were hard lol
I think the reason people compare it to Dayz is that they stole all of the buildings, textures, gear, menu layouts from Dayz as well as the general concept, base building schemes, controls and just made the graphics worse, added a.i. and called it Deadside.
lets be honest- development in this game is slow as turtle. It has been out there for a LONG time but still lacking of many importants stuff. I have played this game around 400 hours but this game gets boring really fast...all you do is missions, then run back to trader, run back to mission, run back to trader etc
If you put it that way, yes. Then every game will be same 😂 It's only hunger and thirst you need to keep track off, other aspects are the AI and other players. That's why basebuilding is a great addition in this game. It keeps you safe 😁
@@DemonicMango oh ok. I play games like these solely for the survival aspect. I'm not a fan of PVP or playing with other players for that matter, hence the reason I don't play DayZ. I just want to explore and loot and survive and die to hunger, thirst, and the elements and occasionally zombies, not being randomly shot from a distance, I don't find that fun. Oh well, guess it's back to SCUM.

Found a tutorial the other day on how to play DayZ from LAN and now I can play it solo and without the fear of randoms killing me and taking all the loot I just spent hours gathering, that's why I asked if it could be done with this.
this game have good gun sounds but dont have ANY ballistic content! bullet dont pierces through anything even 7.62mm doesnt have any PENETRATION to any material, doors, wood, table, enemies, animals, wood wall and nothing in this game act like a realistic bullet should does againt materials and surfaces. turning the experience of fire a real weapon into an AIRSOFT gun. dont have ricochet, dont have ammo check and magazine check destroying the immersion with the unrealistic ammo count! weak gunplay at all! details like these that divide waters when you are firing with realistic weapons in a realistic game simulation
A new update is coming soon with more content (expanding the map, boats and more). I've never come across a hacker so sorry if your experience with this game was bad🙏
@@DemonicMango last time I played was about a year ago. At that time I ran into about 4 or 5. One of them had speed hacks. Most of them were either invincible or could snipe you in the head from a completely inappropriate range. I even have screenshots somewhere of a guy that admitted in chat he was hacking and said "I'm not going to get banned, the devs don't care"
I understand that you've quitted the game after that, that's just sad. I would give it another go if you really liked playing it. Things probably changed 😄

@@DemonicMango recoil isn’t going back to pre train travel days. The ai won’t be reverted back neither, it was perfect. They are also taking our money in next update. Huge L
I had zero issues with recoil, it is completely fine for me. I'm sure it is for others aswell. The devs are aware of the AI, they won't be able to see through bushes and other small objects anymore. Wdym with taking our money?😂

I am REALLY glad I decided to give it a shot. I am having more fun than Rust, Dayz, or Tarkov.

Not really too big on PvP, I don't like trying to be competitive--unless it's against AI, that is.

I've been playing DayZ for a while now. Just bought Deadside. Feels boring compared to DayZ.
Ofcourse DayZ has much more to it, but this is a great alternative if you find DayZ to difficult or time consuming😁

The AI aim bot makes this great game almost unplayable.
Once you know how to handle them, it's quite easy. They are also tackling that issue in the next update

Too weak game. Too long at early access status. Bugged and not optimized. Empty and boring. Problems with getting your money back in Steam.
