Do I need it - No. Do I love it - YES!! I can relate and that's A-OK in my book. I love the delft stein so much and it reminds me of the tile/trivet with the windmill you purchased some time earlier. The beet/goat cheese salad looks sooo good. Thank you to your daughter for sharing the lemon shortbread recipe. I am most certainly baking this as I love anything with lemons!!🍋♥
Marybeth - we need to go shopping together! We would come home with a car full of stuff! LOL. I adore anything with lemons! I will choose lemon over chocolate every time!
Only the French could put fried cheese and beets together for an amazing salad! I can’t wait to try it. I like the addition of the grilled chicken. It would be a lovely salad for a ladies get together. Thank you for showing us all the fun things today

Thank you, I will! She has always loved to bake - she started helping me when she was just a little thing. During the pandemic she really honed her skills and we all benefitted from it! LOL
Great video....lots of good finds....you must live in a very afluent area....everything you bought is high quality!!! I'm jealous!!! I love linens and all kinds of "knick-knacks" miniatures in particular. Thank you for saving so many items that are pre-loved!!!! ❤😊

And when they are bargains it’s hard to resist.I 💚pretty things, flowers, vases pretty objects and etc. And then they begin to take over my life. So the next step is to de clutter. And it starts all over again. I have made lemon bars and they are delish. Your beet salad looks delish too although I’ve never prepared goat cheese. 💙your videos.
I am always in the acquire - declutter - acquire cycle! LOL - but I'm not mad about it! :). The beet salad is one of my favorites! It is so easy, but looks very fancy! LOL

Beets are pretty easy to cook - they just take a while! You may be able to find fresh, precooked beets in the produce section of your supermarket. I know I have seen them in my local Publix Supermarket.
The salad and the lemon squares look delicious. I don't bake but this recipe looks easy so I think I'll give it a try. I hope you include more thrifted vintage items in your shop...I love the "made in Japan" ceramics and those s and p shakers look adorable. Your daughter is so beautiful! Thank you ladies for sharing your recipes with us.

I am a senior citizen and watched your video for the first time. You have a beautiful home....I can't even imagine living in a large home like that. Never lived in a house, only apts. and small ones at that. I had to move recently to even smaller place, a one room studio because rent is less. However, no stove/oven there, but have a small microwave. I was thinking of getting a hot plate. Will that work to fry things up in a small frying pan. I have never used a hot plate before, so don't know if it is like cooking in a frying pan on stove? Some things are better to bake in an oven instead of a microwave. Do you know if toaster ovens are like using a regular oven, or you are limited in what you can bake in a toaster oven? I don't have any family, so don't have any other place to bake things in a regular oven. Thank you.

I bet a toaster oven and an induction hot plate would meet all your needs! You can bake, cook, and fry with a combination of those two appliances! It seems like the instructions for cooking (some things), say not to use a toaster oven but not sure why or remember what some of these things are? I only cook for myself so I don't make large or cook large portions but don't know what the best toaster oven is? And if I can bake chicken in them? I really don't know or understand why some things are not recommended to bake in a toaster oven. If I bake chicken, it would be just individual pieces like chicken breasts or thighs but not whole chicken.

Pickled beets are the BEST! I have been known to eat a whole jar of them - right from the jar! Don't tell anyone - that's not very "refined". LOL

My mom picked beets and would put boiled eggs in the pickling juice and pickle the eggs. Yummy! I will try this with purchased pickled beets.
