    Thumbs up
    Great vid
Never towed in France but used to rent a gite and travel from NE England and meet up with parents in Kent every year for 5 or 6 ywars about 15 years ago and drive down in the 2 cars to Limoges/Loire/Brittany etc
Would love to tour France with the new caravan which we are collecting next week as your video brought back memories of the Peages , Chateaus and lovely scenery we loved.
    Thanks for the vid
    Thumbs up from me

Thanks for watching. Yes we like holidays in France. As I type we’re making tea in a petrol station 100 miles south of Bordeaux 😃👍🏻

    Hi Graham,
When traveling in France with your caravan what has been your experiences with using Aires for overnight /s stays. Of course all I hear is how caravans cannot use Aires and reserved for Motor Homes no good if you use a caravan!!?? Chris “The Aussie living in the Netherlands “ 🇳🇿😎

Hi Chris, thanks for watching. Yes, there's a lot of confusion with "Aires". When motorhomers talk of aires, they're talking about the little areas run by towns / villages where motorhomes can park (near shops to spend money) and caravans can't use these. However, when I talk about Aires, I mean the large public areas off the main road like a big layby, some have toilets, picnic areas etc but generally no shops. We have stayed in these, some are good, however, I think next year we'll use sites, they're more comfortable. Aires (not the motorhome ones) are ok for a few hours sleep, but they are a bit like service stations in that people come and go. Generally we use Aire on Autoroutes that are not too near big towns. reason being you have to pay to get on them so you probably won't get any passing villains :-)

Thanks for watching. Mainly using google maps (or google Earth) TBH Mandy does all the planning. We keep meaning to do a vlog on how we plan trips, of course, Mandy would have to tell me first...

Noticed that the entrances and exits seem quite tight to drive a van through. Are the service stops more caravan friendly than the UK?
