Very nice and timely. I have a friend that wants me to paint a 3ft x 4ft canvas with nothing but flowers. This helps, but I'm still haven't come up with a design to fill the canvas and not look cluttered. I'll have to look at more of your flowers paintings and techniques. Thanks for sharing. Michelle, your background color looks like a really light gray more then a tan.
Perhaps it's the way it translated on camera, but it was definitely leaning more towards tan than gray on my end.

The background before you added the flowers reminded me of my bedroom walls as a kid. I decided to be the next Monet and took my crayons to the walls. Mom tried to clean them, but the walls were slightly textures so it didn't clean very well. It looked very much like the background.

Hello, I'm new to your class. I have some questions, on what materials to use. Does it matter what type of paper or canvas to use with what kinda paints? Example: could you use water color paint on canvas? What is the differences of acrylic paints and water paint? Do you have kits of what kinda paints work best with paper or canvas, what brushes are best to use with paint, and what kind of liquid do you use to clean your brushes with? Does turpentine work for all?
Hi Dorothy, I only use a thin-bodied student grade paint called Blickylics and I only use my own personal brushes from my brush line and I only use one type of canvas all of which you can purchase here: berkshirepaintandsip.squarespace.com/shop You can also purchase kits for any of my tutorials here as well. Also, I've done educational classes for my patreon members answering all the other questions which can be found here: www.patreon.com/michellethepainter I hope this helps and have fun painting!

What do you use to keep your paints from drying so quickly? I looked at Blick but could not find. Made my grandchildren your snowman painting for Christmas and they loved him!,
